  • Patent number: 10472255
Abstract: A fluid metering system for accurately measuring and dosing one or more fluids. The fluid metering system generally includes a closed loop feedback system that monitors the volume of liquid chemical input into a system over a period of time. Based on the measured amount of chemical input into a system over a period of time, the system calculates whether or not an adjustment is required for the next input of chemical. The various embodiments utilize a measuring tube that is filled with a liquid chemical. A pressure sensor measures the pressure of the chemical in the measuring tube when filled and after emptied to calculate the total volume of chemical input into the system.

  • Patent number: 10144653
Abstract: A fluid metering system for accurately and consistently mixing two or more fluids together. The fluid metering system generally includes a closed loop feedback system that monitors the flow rate of the water and the volume of liquid chemical added to the water over a period of time. Based on the measured amount of chemical added to the water over a period of time, the system calculates whether or not an adjustment is required for the next addition of chemical to the water. The present invention utilizes a measuring tube that is filled with a chemical wherein a pressure sensor measures the pressure of the chemical in the measuring tube when filled and after being emptied to calculate the total volume of chemical added to the water.

  • Patent number: 6481583
Abstract: A tool holder system for conveniently supporting one or more tools upon a pegboard structure or a wall. The tool holder system includes a support structure having a plurality of receiver openings formed for receiving a tool, a plurality of recessed portions formed into a rear portion of the support structure, a plurality of fastener slots for securing the support structure to a wall, and a clip member formed to catchably engage within said recessed portions for securing the support structure to a pegboard. The clip member is comprised of a body, an upper hook and a lower hook wherein the hooks catchably engage apertures within the pegboard. The lower hook includes a lip for catchably engaging one of the apertures within the pegboard thereby preventing accidental removal of the clip member. Each clip member further includes an upper slot for receiving a portion of the support structure and a lower slot for receiving a lower cross member within the recessed portions.

  • Patent number: 5927635
Abstract: A conventional roll of construction line can be outfitted with a reel having two shoulders connected by a shank through a spool on which the construction line is wound. The shank extends longitudinally from one of the shoulders and is releasably fastened to the other shoulder. A handle is mounted rotatably on either a longitudinal extension of the shank or one of the shoulders. Wedges on the shoulders engage the ends of the reel, and spurs on the shank engage the inside surface of the reel. A brake mechanism on the handle and a removable crank or winding knob are also provided.

  • Patent number: 5664739
Abstract: A line reel for dispensing string, construction line, or cord includes a cap that can be inserted into one end of a spool holding the material to be dispensed, a midsection that can be inserted into the other end of the spool, and a rotatable handle connected to the midsection on the opposite side from the spool. In one embodiment, the cap and midsection frictionally engage the inside of the spool and can be pulled out of the spool for re-use with another spool. In an alternate embodiment, a latch structure on the cap and midsection latches the cap to the midsection in the spool so they cannot be easily removed from the spool once assembled. The line reel includes a notch to hold the free end of the construction line or string. The cap, spool, and midsection, while positioned structurally so that they do not rotate in relation to each other, are able to rotate in relation to the handle to facilitate dispensing the construction line.

  • Patent number: 5566934
Abstract: A baseball trainer includes a target apparatus set at a predetermined distance from a practicing ballplayer. The target apparatus includes a plurality of panels for indicating a "strike" or a "ball" which indication is communicated to a microcomputer in a console adjacent to the practicing player. The target apparatus is associated with an adjacent catching apparatus and ball return apparatus for returning the ball to the player. The player pitches from a pitching rubber which includes a switch for providing a start signal when the player shifts the weight off of his back foot at the instant the ball is pitched toward the target apparatus. The start time, together with a stop time generated by the "strike" or "ball" panels, can be used by the microcomputer to generate an elapsed time which together with the known distance is used to calculate the speed of the pitch and which is then audibly reported to the practicing player.

  • Patent number: 4619772
Abstract: A well drilling fluid additive for viscosifying and controlling filtration or water loss from the fluid matrix is comprised of ground durum derived from the outer portion of the endosperm of the durum kernel. This product is very high in protein and polysaccharides, in addition to starch, which not only results in excellent viscosity and filtration control characteristics, but also in ability to maintain such characteristics in high temperature and pressure environments. It is equally effective in mineral-contaminated water, salt water, and fresh water, and it eliminates the necessity of flocculating or expanding clays in drilling fluid matrices for most normal oil well drilling applications. In normal use, this additive is mixed with the drilling fluid at a cool temperature in order to achieve maximum uniform dispersion. It is then circulated into the well where subsurface formation temperatures heat the fluid to at least 175.degree. to 180.degree. F.

  • Patent number: 4189243
Abstract: A mud shearing device for placement in the mud flow line in a well drilling operation includes a series of inner pressure chambers surrounded by concentric outer chambers with jet discharge ports connecting each inner chamber with a respective outer chamber and an inlet aperture connecting each succeeding inner chamber with a preceding outer chamber. The mud flow line is connected to the first inner chamber by a flanged nipple, and mud is pumped under pressure into the first inner chamber and then sheared by discharge in a high velocity jet stream through the discharge ports into the first outer chamber and impinged against the wall surface of the outer chamber. A similar shearing mud flow is repeated through the succeeding series of inner and outer chambers and respective discharge ports to the last outer chamber which is connected by an outlet nipple to a continuation of the mud flow line where the mud continues in a conventional flow circuit in the drilling operation.
