    Abstract: A belt pumping device using an endless belt driven between two perforated drums. One drum is submerged in a liquid to be pumped with the other drum positioned outside of the liquid to be pumped. At least a portion of the endless belt is constructed of absorbing material. The belt passes over the drum submerged in the liquid and the belt absorbs the liquid, which is then expressed from the belt on the other drum and collected in a collection pan for transportation to another location.
