  • Publication number: 20210404796
Abstract: An embodiment in accordance with the present invention provides a method for accurate and objective quantification of stone fragment size. The method includes intraoperative measurement of objects during URS. The method analyzes URS procedures for ureteral and renal stones during basket extraction of fragments. An instrument is passed through an instrument channel of the ureteroscope and advanced until it is adjacent to the stone fragment to be measured. The measurement of stone fragment size is based on the known distance of a tip of the instrument in the ureteroscope's visual field.

  • Patent number: 9937454
Abstract: An apparatus and method for collection of particulate matter includes a plenum chamber formed in an funnel or a frustum configuration that discharges into a distribution chute assembly. The distribution chute assembly includes a number of individual chutes, each equipped with a circular collar or collar groove at the outlet which facilitates the attachment of the cylindrical dust collection sacks. The plenum chamber, distribution chute assembly, and individual dust collection sacks are carried by a frame assembly.

  • Patent number: 9388847
Abstract: A bottom bracket assembly for bicycle frames aligns crankshaft bearings. The assembly is press fitted into the bottom bracket shell to journal the crankshaft. An elongated, rigid, unibody sleeve comprises a terminal end and a spaced apart leading end which both receive and support a radial contact bearing that is press fitted into a machined bore. Each bore comprises an interference fit zone for bearing retention and a larger, pressure relief zone comprising a channel and an adjacent, buffering slope that compensates for stresses. Dust shields coaxially abut the bearing exteriors. An inner, tubular buttress bushing coaxially occupies the sleeve interior and extends between the spaced apart bearings to brace them. Externally the sleeve has a pair of integral, friction retention contact interfaces separated by a reduced diameter optimization zone. The sleeve terminal end has an integral stop flange that abuts the frame bottom bracket shell contacting the crank arm.

  • Patent number: 7197770
Abstract: A rolling kneepad having a weight transfer support assembly with swivel casters to support a user, a kneepad cushion provided above the support assembly to comfortably receive a user's knee, and a shin guard peripherally attached to the support assembly and extending outwardly therefrom. The elongated shin guard has a distal end which abuts the upper surface of a user's shoe or boot. Consequently, when the user moves from a kneeling to a standing position, the weight of the rolling kneepad is supported on the top surface of the user's shoe or boot. Downward slippage of the rolling kneepad along the user's leg is prevented and manual reposition of the rolling kneepad prior to the user resuming a kneeling position is avoided. Straps having hook and loop fasteners at the ends are typically used to affix the rolling kneepad to the body of the user.
