The optics platform further includes a pivot arm that is pivotally attached to the swing arm so as to articulate in a semi-circular motion around a horizontal axis of the swing arm.

Abstract: An advanced trekking staff includes a main shaft, secondary shaft, tip shaft, a housing, and a plurality of concentric shafts. The plurality concentric shafts are slidably disposed within the interior cavity of the main shaft. The main shaft and tip shaft are slidably disposed on the secondary shaft. The main shaft may be raised and lowered and secured to a variable position to the tip shaft within the secondary shaft sleeved on the tip shaft to lengthen the main shaft as desired. A first configuration includes the plurality concentric shafts disposed within the interior cavity of the main shaft to form a trekking staff. A second configuration includes the two concentric shafts received by the housing coupled to the main shaft so as to form a tripod.
