    Abstract: The present invention provides a method for producing natural polymer microspheres, the method including: adding a solution containing a natural polymer (e.g., an aqueous fibroin solution) to an organic solvent, the organic solvent having a surfactant dissolved therein, and homogenizing the resulting mixed solution to generate a natural polymer colloidal suspension; and adding the natural polymer colloidal suspension to an alcohol having 3 or more carbon atoms to form natural polymer microspheres.
