Publication number: 20230225865Abstract: Methods and devices for transvascular prosthetic chordae tendinea implantation are disclosed. A catheter is advanced into the left atrium. From an atrium side, the catheter can be anchored to a superior surface of a mitral valve leaflet and a leaflet anchor can be advanced into the mitral valve leaflet to secure the mitral valve leaflet to a leaflet suture. A ventricular anchor is anchored to the wall of the ventricle to secure the ventricular wall to a ventricle suture. The leaflet suture and the ventricle suture may be tensioned and connected by a suture lock to form an artificial chordae.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 2, 2021Publication date: July 20, 2023Inventors: Cameron Paul Purcell, Gordon B. Bishop, Trung Ho Pham, Stephen R. McDaniel, Hien Ngoc Lam, Whittaker Ian Hamill, Katie Nicole Riojas

Publication number: 20220395362Abstract: Disclosed are methods and devices for isolating all three of the left subclavian, left common carotid and brachiocephalic arteries from embolic debris that might flow through the aortic arch, via a single access point. A system may include an elongate flexible tubular sheath, having a proximal end and a distal end, and an inner member extending through the sheath and moveable relative to the sheath. A left subclavian element may be supported by the inner member. A filter membrane may be configured to isolate the aorta from the brachiocephalic, left common carotid and left subclavian arteries when the left subclavian element is expanded within the left subclavian artery and the sheath is retracted to expose the membrane. The left subclavian element may include a self expandable frame, which may carry a left subclavian filter.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 22, 2022Publication date: December 15, 2022Applicant: Claret Medical, Inc.Inventors: Whittaker Ian Hamill, Shih Hsiung Albert Yuan, Antony J. Fields, Cameron Paul Purcell, Daniel Wayne Fifer, James Richard Watson

Patent number: 11351023Abstract: Vascular filters and deflectors and methods for filtering bodily fluids. A blood filtering assembly can capture embolic material dislodged or generated during an endovascular procedure to inhibit or prevent the material from entering the cerebral vasculature. A blood deflecting assembly can deflect embolic material dislodged or generated during an endovascular procedure to inhibit or prevent the material from entering the cerebral vasculature.Type: GrantFiled: August 21, 2019Date of Patent: June 7, 2022Assignee: Claret Medical, Inc.Inventors: Whittaker Ian Hamill, Shih-hsiung Albert Yuan, Daniel W.
