    Abstract: Various embodiments include a method for determining an expected service life of an electrical apparatus with respect to a reference time comprising: providing an ageing model describing an ageing behavior of the apparatus; recording a value of an electrical operating parameter of the apparatus during operation of the apparatus; adjusting the ageing model based at least in part on the recorded value; and determining the expected service life of the apparatus using the adjusted ageing model.
