  • Patent number: 11616389
Abstract: A method recognizes topology in low-voltage networks including local substations each having a plurality of output lines connected to a controllable electrical resource, and a control apparatus of each local substation. The method uses a computer arrangement assigning resources to the control apparatuses based on geographical proximity, selecting an assigned resource, transmitting a test control command specific to the selected resource from the control apparatus to the assigned resources, the test control command configured to trigger a change in power consumption or power output of the selected resource, measuring a change in an electrical variable on the output lines of the local substation by using a measuring apparatus, and assigning the selected electrical resource to that output line of that local substation on which a correlation between test control command and change is recognized. An arrangement for recognizing a topology in a low-voltage network is also provided.

  • Patent number: 11586190
Abstract: A method operates a technical or non-technical system. At least one information element of a first type which relates to the system and is dependent on the respective system state of the system is transmitted according to the method from at least one first facility of the system to at least one second facility. The second facility uses at least one information element of a second type which originates neither from the first facility nor from a different facility of the system, i.e. it comes from a source other than the system, to estimate the system state, checks, on the basis of the estimated system state, whether the received information matches the estimated system state to a predefined extent, and, in the event of a match to the predefined extent, regards the information as trusted, and otherwise generates a warning signal indicating a possible data attack.

  • Patent number: 10923913
Abstract: For providing system services reliably for an energy supply network, measured values indicating an electrical state of the supply network and/or of a distribution network are recorded. A deviation of the operational state of the supply network from a required operational state is determined and control measures are defined for restoring the required operational state. Control data which indicate a part of the control measures to be carried out by devices of the distribution network are transmitted to the control device, and control commands are determined for the devices of the distribution network with which the devices are controlled such that the distribution network carries out the required control measures. Estimated control data are defined and the communication connection to a network controller is monitored. In the event of a fault in the communication connection, the control commands are defined using the estimated control data instead of the control data.

  • Patent number: 10461579
Abstract: A method monitors an operating state of an energy supply network. Measurement values indicating an operating state are detected using sensors which are provided at measurement points paired with primary components of the energy supply network, and a visualization indicating the operating state of the energy supply network at each measurement point is generated using a monitor. The aim is to minimize the configuration and parameterization complexity for the operator of the energy supply network. The measurement values are transmitted from the sensors to an application server. The measurement values are analyzed, thereby forming system status values, the system status values indicating the operating state of the energy supply network at the measurement points. The system status values are transmitted to the monitoring device and a visualization which indicates the operating state of the energy supply network is generated by the monitoring device using the system status values and displayed.

  • Patent number: 10397310
Abstract: A method evaluates power engineering data using a data request that is transmitted to a coupling device by a first communication link. The coupling device is used to convert the data request from a coupling data format into a further data request that is specific to an energy engineering device in a device-specific data format. The further data request is transmitted to the power engineering device by a second communication link. The power engineering device transmits its power engineering data, requested by the further data request, to the coupling device by the second communication link. The power engineering data are in a data format that is specific to the power engineering device, and the coupling device converts all the power engineering data requested by further data requests into a data response in the coupling data format and uses the first communication link to transmit them to the evaluation device.

  • Patent number: 10263427
Abstract: An autonomous energy supply network has energy producers and energy consumers that are driven by a local control device. The following steps reduce the parameterization outlay required for the operation of the autonomous energy supply network: provision of model data of the autonomous energy supply network in a data memory of a computing device superordinate to the local control device, the model data specifying the respective energy producers and their operating parameters; determination of an operating plan for the autonomous energy supply network with the computing device by using the model data, the operating plan specifying the operating state of the autonomous energy supply network during a particular time interval; transmission of the operating plan to the local control device; and driving of the energy producers and/or the energy consumers according to the specifications of the operating plan by the local control device.

  • Publication number: 20180292442
Abstract: A method identifies a diagnosis variable which indicates an aging state of an operating device in an electrical energy supply network. In the method, first measurement values of at least one measurement variable are detected at a first measuring point of the operating device. Then simultaneously second measurement values of the at least one measurement variable are detected at a second measuring point of the operating device. The diagnosis variable is identified using respective simultaneously detected first and second measurement values. It is proposed that the first and second measurement values are detected in a time-controlled manner in such a way that a signal of the at least one measurement variable is sampled at a prescribed sampling rate at set times and over a set measurement duration so as to generate time profiles of the first and second measurement values.

  • Patent number: 10073429
Abstract: In a method for parameterizing an electrical device, a communication link is set up between a user unit and a computation apparatus. The latter provides a parameterization program for parameterizing the electrical device. The user unit is used to record settings made at the user end that affect the electrical device, and the recorded settings are used to form setting values for parameterizing the electrical device. A parameterization file containing the setting values is produced for the electrical device. In order to be able to perform parameterization of electrical devices, in particular electrical devices that are used in automation installations in a safety-critical environment, in a comparatively simple and inexpensive manner, the parameterization program for parameterizing the electrical device is executed by the computation apparatus and a user interface for the parameterization program is displayed by the user unit.

  • Publication number: 20180025877
Abstract: A device for monitoring an interruption unit in an electrical energy supply network. In order to reduce the cost incurred by a network operator in detecting and localizing tripped interruption units, the device has a sensor interface for connecting a sensor unit that records a measured value specific to the interruption unit. An evaluation unit is connected to the sensor interface and configured to detect a current change in terms of the current flowing through the interruption unit on the basis of the measured value. A communication interface is connected to the evaluation unit. In the event of a detected current change, a status signal indicating a critical status of the interruption unit is transmittable to a communication unit. We also describe a method for monitoring an interruption device, and a distribution station with a device for monitoring an interruption device.

  • Publication number: 20170328946
Abstract: A method operates a fault indicator, in particular a fault current indicator, which can detect a fault in an electrical energy transmission line, in particular a fault current in the energy transmission line. In the event of a detected fault, the fault indicator transmits a fault signal to a superordinate control center monitoring the energy transmission line. The fault indicator regularly or irregularly transmits at least one item of local weather information, which relates to the weather in the environment of the fault indicator, to the superordinate control center, directly to a central device other than the control center or indirectly to the other central device via the control center.
