Abstract: A method for adjusting a bolus amount of insulin for a meal event using a control unit having a processing unit and a touch screen display as well as a medical control device and a medical system configured to perform the method. Additionally, the present disclosure relates to a computer program or computer program product that, when executed, performs the method. A carbohydrate-based bolus amount of insulin can be delivered in a first bolus and a second bolus. A movable slider displayed on the touch screen display can be used to adjust the relative amounts of the first and second boli.
