  • Publication number: 20060264648
Abstract: Process for the recovery of ethylene oxide (EO) from fat absorbent (FA) which comprises providing a feed of elevated temperature FA to an EO Stripper, providing a stripping gas feed and contacting the stripping gas feed at elevated temperature with the elevated temperature FA feed, obtaining stripped lean absorbent (LA) and an EO-containing gas, and providing one or more external process stream feeds to the EO Stripper at a location above the elevated temperature FA feed and at a lower temperature with respect to the elevated temperature FA feed thereby concentrating EO in the EO-containing gas. The process can also include one or more impurity removal stages in the form of one or more side draws from the EO Stripper or an EO Stripper Concentrator. The invention also includes an apparatus for performing the process.

  • Patent number: 5155208
Abstract: An improved process for the production of linear alternating polymers of carbon monoxide and at least one ethylenically unsaturated hydrocarbon comprises contacting the carbon monoxide and hydrocarbon under polymerization conditions in the presence of a catalyst composition formed from a compound of palladium, a strong non-hydrohalogenic acid and a bidentate ligand of phosphorus and in the presence of a relatively low boiling aprotic reaction diluent and molecular hydrogen.

  • Patent number: 5059678
Abstract: An improved process for the production of linear alternating polymers of carbon monoxide and at least one ethylenically unsaturated hydrocarbon comprises contacting the carbon monoxide and ethylenically unsaturated hydrocarbon under polymerization conditions in inert reaction diluent in the presence of a catalyst composition formed from a compound of palladium, a bidentate ligand of phosphorus, sulfur or nitrogen and an alkyl ester or anhydride of a monocarboxylic or dicarboxylic acid.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 27, 1990

  • Patent number: 5010171
Abstract: Catalyst composition solutions, useful in the production of linear alternating polymer of carbon monoxide and at least one ethylenically unsaturated hydrocarbon, show storage stability and uniform high activity when prepared by adding a non-hydrocarbyl bidentate ligand of phosphorus and a palladium alkanoate to an aprotic, polar catalyst composition solvent followed by a halogen-containing aliphatic monocarboxylic acid having a pKa below 2.
