  • Patent number: 8706797
Abstract: The invention relates to an image processing system for an x-ray installation or such like having at least one image source, a plurality of computing units for processing different algorithms, at least one non-volatile storage and a data sink, with the image source, the plurality of computing units, the non-volatile storage and the data sink each being physically connected to at least one control unit operating as a circuit module in a physical network, as a result of which a star-shaped logical topology can be configured by the control unit.

  • Patent number: 7613348
Abstract: The invention relates to a medical imaging system having a generation apparatus for continuous image data from successive examination images, having an encoding apparatus for the image data for the purpose of compression on the basis of the method of prediction, having an evaluation apparatus for physiological, periodic data for the purpose of determining the repetition rate thereof, and having a memory apparatus for the compressed image data, where the encoding apparatus is connected to the evaluation apparatus, which controls the latter such that the prediction is matched dynamically to the period length of the physiological data. The use of the information from the ECG signal, for example, for the purpose of compressing the original material provides a dynamic frame rate and also the opportunity to control the dependencies of the prediction such that a minimal memory requirement is obtained without loss of data.

  • Publication number: 20090154839
Abstract: The invention relates to an image processing system having an image processing apparatus. The image processing apparatus comprises at least two image processing units to receive a temporal sequence of image data records forming a common data stream and to generate output image data records from the image data records based on a predetermined allocation specification. The image processing units are connected to one another such that the image processing units are integrated in the common data stream. The image processing apparatus also comprises a shared memory mutually assigned to the image processing units. The shared memory stores the image data records and the output image data records. The image processing units are at least indirectly connected to the shared memory and access the shared memory.

  • Publication number: 20090031119
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for operating a multiprocessor system, especially in conjunction with a medical imaging system. The invention also relates to a medical imaging device which is designed to perform this method. The multiprocessor system in this case has at least two processing units, at least one control unit and operations which can be allocated to the processing units. Data provided from an input is processed by the processing unit and made available at an output. The at least one control unit enhances the named data with control data, which defines an allocation of the data to the respective operations for the purposes of processing.

  • Publication number: 20070300041
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for processing streaming data in a multiprocessor system. In this method, in a pipelining architecture of the multiprocessor system a specified number of processors having a specified number of programs processes, in a clocked manner, a number of data packets which are inputted at an input point, and makes the processed data available at an output point. The data packets to be processed are distributed between a corresponding number of processors, in which they remain during processing, and the individual programs are then supplied to the individual processors in a timed manner by means of pipelining, such that the individual programs are executed in the corresponding processors on the data packets present there.

  • Publication number: 20060075443
Abstract: A user terminal is provided with a program by starting transmission of a media stream representing the first part of the program over a dedicated connection specific to the user terminal at a time selected by the user but at a rate enabling the user terminal to switch seamlessly to receiving the rest of the program from a regular broadcast media stream.
