  • Publication number: 20050001021
Abstract: A mailer with return postcard formed from a single sheet of paper, such as 28# paper, utilizing pressure seal cohesive material. This is accomplished by applying cohesive material in a unique pattern and then folding the sheet of paper into a double V-fold construction.

  • Patent number: 6409079
Abstract: An intermediate for a mailer type business form is provided that is Z-folded to produce a mailer type business form with built-in reply envelope. A large area is provided for printing statement, remittance and/or other information and yet the reply envelope produced accepts a conventional size personal check without folding. Outgoing address indicia is imaged on the top face of the first ply and a first line of demarcation passes through that indicia, so that the indicia can be removed and/or covered when the return envelope flap is folded over to seal the reply envelope. Adhesive patterns for defining the Z-folded mailer and reply envelope are offset to avoid blocking on stacking and are aligned with raised areas of conventional sealing mechanisms.

  • Patent number: 6196453
Abstract: A mailer type business form intermediate is specifically constructed for use with a popular simple pressure sealer so that a mailer type business form with a built in reply envelope may be easily produced from the intermediate simply by feeding it through the conventional sealer. The intermediate is constructed with the first and second lines of weakness located more inwardly than conventional, so that the patterns of pressure sensitive cohesive forming the reply envelope are, and those sealing the mailer, each have an effective width of about ⅜ of an inch or less and are spaced from each other in a first dimension parallel to the top and bottom edges of the intermediate a distance greater than about a quarter of an inch and less than about one inch, preferably so that the center lines of the cohesive pattern are spaced from each other substantially the same distance that center lines of parallel sealing rollers of a conventional sealer are spaced from each other.

  • Patent number: 6126064
Abstract: An intermediate for a mailer type business form, and a mailer produced from it, allow construction, from a single sheet of paper, of a mailer type business form that has a confidential integral insert closed on all edges. Confidential indicia is imaged on the interior faces of the insert, and is accessible only by tearing along at least one edge of the insert, which indicates tampering. Double fold, roll fold, or other folds may be provided for forming the mailer from the intermediate. For double fold and roll fold constructions, no security screening is necessary, yet the confidential indicia is substantially as secure as if security screening had been provided.

  • Patent number: 6055392
Abstract: A document or business forms handling machine having toner associated therewith, and also having rollers and paper guiding surfaces on which toner may collect, is simply and easily periodically cleaned using a sheet of paper having a thickness and weight comparable to 20-38 lb. bond paper (or 80-100 lb. tag stock), and having a pattern of non-tacky toner attracting and holding material (such as pressure sensitive cohesive, like a styrene-natural rubber copolymer) on at least a first face thereof covers at least about twenty percent of the first face. The cohesive engages, attracts, and holds undesirable toner as the sheet is fed through the machine, to clean it. The machine may be a photocopier, laser printer, or pressure sealer; and the pattern may be a solid block, or spaced parallel strips of cohesive.

  • Patent number: 5437476
Abstract: An apparatus and method for binding booklets using pressure seal adhesive patterns. Paper sheets having adhesive strips along their centerfold lines are assembled and folded together. A pressure sealing device activates the adhesive strips and causes the adhesive to bind the folded sheets together into a booklet. The adhesive strips are arranged on the sheets parallel on both sides of the centerfold line of the sheet. The sheets are assembled so that adhesive strips are juxtaposed against the adhesive strips on adjacent sheets. The assembly is folded and a pressure sealer device seals the adhesive strips together to bind the sheets into a booklet.
