  • Patent number: 10240299
Abstract: A fastening mechanism for coupling track rail to a substrate includes a fastener body formed by a metallic base and an overmolded non-metallic coating. Metallic pillars are coupled with the fastener body, and define bores for receiving anchors held fast within a substrate. The coating encases the metallic base and extends peripherally around the metallic pillars to position vibration-attenuating non-metallic material between the metallic base and the metallic pillars.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 25, 2016
Date of Patent: March 26, 2019
    Assignee: Progress Rail Services Corporation

  • Patent number: 9708776
Abstract: An assembly for mounting a longitudinally extending track on a substrate has a track plate having a top face adapted to carry the track and formed unitarily below the top face with a plurality of longitudinally extending tongues, a base plate at least partially below the track plate, adapted to be anchored to the substrate, horizontally surrounding the tongues of the track plate, and formed with a plurality of longitudinally extending tongues transversely spaced from, longitudinally interleaved with, and horizontally at least partially level with the tongues of the track plate. The track plate and base plate are wholly out of direct engagement with and spaced vertically and/or horizontally from each other. An elastic jacket or liner is engaged between the plates and between the tongues of the track plate and the tongues of the base plate.

  • Patent number: 8919660
Abstract: An assembly for securing at least one rail to a substrate has a longitudinally extending rail plate extending across and secured underneath the rail and having a pair of opposite ends. Respective end restraints at the ends of the rail plate each have a jaw fixed to the respective end of the rail plate and each formed with a vertically throughgoing passage. A respective rigid anchor hood is fixed to the substrate in each of the passages with an outer surface of the anchor hood spaced inward from an inner surface of the respective passage and forming an annular space therewith. A respective rubber bumper mass fills each of these spaces so that forces transverse to the rail are transmitted through the bumpers to the anchor hoods.

  • Publication number: 20060196962
Abstract: A rail-mounting assembly a generally rectangular base frame formed with a window and having a pair of diagonally opposite abutments at respective ends of the window and having downwardly and inwardly inclined faces. A top plate in the window has a lower face above a lower face of the frame, a pair of bosses projecting upward from the top plate and each juxtaposed with a respective one of the abutments and each having a downwardly and inwardly inclined face spacedly juxtaposed with the downwardly and inwardly inclined face of the respective abutment. A one-piece elastomeric body is bonded to and interposed between the inclined faces of the frame and of the top plate.

  • Publication number: 20050045059
Abstract: A track fastener has a top plate spacedly surrounded by a frame and connected to the frame by a body of elastomer bonded to both the top plate and the frame at all surfaces at which the elastomer fills the gap between the two. The frame has hoods overhanging ribs of the elastomer which have inclined flanks covered by the elastomer as the elastomer reaches down from the gap between the hood and the rib to the top surface of the top plate lying below the receiving surface of the top plate on which the rail bears.
