  • Patent number: 7179298
Abstract: Hip prosthesis. The femur side hip prosthesis includes both a ball and socket bearing and another (secondary) bearing system which facilitates motion of the type which is primarily in the forward and backward swinging of the leg. In certain embodiments of the invention, the secondary bearing system includes needle bearings and thrust bearings. That secondary bearing system lessens the motion of the ball and socket joint required during common activities such as walking. Certain embodiments of the invention include a modular connection between the stem for placement within the femur and the assembly that includes the secondary bearing.

  • Patent number: 6601619
Abstract: A communion cup dispenser made in accordance with the present disclosure includes a number of tubes that hold the cups prior to the dispensing operation. A dispensing mechanism releases one layer of forty cups into an empty communion tray per one cycle of the handle. The dispenser has a feature named a shaker. This shaker is used in the event that one or more cups do not fall using the force of gravity alone. The inside diameter surface of shaker exit holes bump the cup or cups and cause them to fall. The shaker is used occasionally. The cup dispenser has a cup prelocator which is placed on top of the communion tray to assist the cups during their fall into the tray. The tube assembly dispensing mechanisms plus plates that provide a passage for the falling cups are held together by a frame.

  • Patent number: 6158484
Abstract: A dispenser made in accordance with the present disclosure includes a liquid storage container and a mechanical regulating assembly that are mounted on a frame. A plurality of conduits is in liquid communication with the storage container and dispenses liquid flowing from the container under the force of gravity through the conduits through open distal ends. The regulating assembly of the dispenser regulates this flow using two pinch rollers that are moveable between a closed position, wherein the rollers pinch the sections of tubing and restrict flow, and an open position, wherein there is a free flow of liquid through the sections of tubing.
