  • Patent number: 6101637
Abstract: The system of this invention describes shoulder pads for workers who need to carry heavy or cumbersome objects safely, comfortably and with ease. It comprises an interchangeable shoulder pad made from a comfortable and wear resistant material with a pair of front and back adjustable straps that connect to a worker's belt, pants or other clothing on the waist of the worker. The interchangeable nature of this pad permits the same pad to be used on the left or right side. The pad is specially contoured for the neck and shoulder and underlined with suade so as not to slip.

  • Patent number: 5593460
Abstract: A tool for extending the effective reach of the user having a pair of spaced-apart curved extending members which are joined at the distal end by a connecting member. A work performing member such as a sponge is pivotally attached to the connecting member at a clip. A grip member having finger recesses is connected between the extending members at a predetermined distance from the proximal end of the extending members. A strap extends between the proximal end of the extending members to secure the arm extender to a person's forearm. The strap is secured to at least one of the extending members and wraps about the other extending member forming a loop therebetween whereupon the strap is attached onto itself. The user grips the gripping member with the user's hand and the user's forearm is secured within the loop of the strap. The strap is attached by, for example, a Velcro.RTM. type attachment. The extending, gripping and connecting members are preferably fabricated from a light weight plastic.

  • Patent number: 5402550
Abstract: An arm extender, in accordance with the present invention, comprises a pair of spaced curved extending members which are joined at one end by a connecting member. Further, a bracket for mounting a sponge is pivotably attached to the connecting member. A sponge having an opening is disposed about the bracket and retained thereon by, for example, a Velcro.RTM. type attachment. A gripping member is connected between the extending members at a predetermined distance from the free end of the extending members. Also, a strap is provided near the free end of the extending members for securing the arm extender to a person's arm. The strap is secured to at least one of the extending members and wraps about the other extending member forming a loop therebetween whereupon the strap is attached onto itself. During use, the user grips the gripping member with the user's hand and the user's forearm is secured within the loop of the strap. The strap is attached by, for example, a Velcro.RTM. type attachment.
