    Abstract: An automatic flushing system for municipal water systems. The system comprises flush piping connected to a municipal water system line, the flush piping having a solenoid valve mounted therein to permit periodic discharge of water from the municipal water system line. A programmable timer is provided to open and close the solenoid valve at predetermined times and for predetermined intervals. The system may be powered from a remote power source, or may be provided with a storage battery whose charge is maintained by a electricity generating solar panel.
