A conversion engine within the proxy server extracts the desired content from the web page, and reformats the content in accordance with one or more predefined transform methods associated with the one or more mobile devices before transmitting the transformed web page with the desired content to the one or more mobile devices. Secure or unsecure connection provided via a decorated uniform resource locator can be used to connect a mobile device, the proxy server, and an origin web server.
