In accordance with a first mode, two separate labels are applied to two different mutually perpendicular surfaces of the package, carton, or box, while in accordance with a second one of the two different operational modes, a single label is applied to the two different mutually perpendicular surfaces of the package, carton, or box as a result of being wrapped around a corner region of the package, carton, or box.
