  • Patent number: 8188733
Abstract: An arrangement and method recognizes and classifies preferably hidden objects in object and/or human traffic. Objects relevant to security are recognized, located and tracked through the surroundings thereof in moving object and human traffic isolated in real time. Use is made of a combination of a field generator, the field of which is modified by at least one corresponding object within the scanned space, first sensors which repeatedly record the changes in the field and provide corresponding signals, second sensors which record defined surroundings of the object in real-time with relation to the first sensors and provide corresponding signals and analytical means which correlate and collate the signals from the sensors with each other and which give from the same the shape, spatial position and/or spatial orientation of the object.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 19, 2007
Date of Patent: May 29, 2012
Assignee: Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft zur Foerderung der Angewandten Forschung E.V.
Inventors: Holger Lausch, Wilfried Andrae, Michael Brand, Christoph Werner
  • Publication number: 20110127996
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for determining the roll angle of a device having a housing, wherein a coil, which is arranged on or in the housing so as to be rigid in relation to the housing of the device, and an actuation electronic system, which generates voltage profiles that are limited chronologically by means of the coil, are provided.

  • Patent number: 7668583
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for location of an instrument or appliance having at least one magnet which produces a magnetic moment at right angles to the appliance shaft and can be rotated independently of the instrument or appliance. This results in a location system which allows precise location at an accurate time, determination of the axis direction and control of an appliance which is being operated in a channel or medium.

  • Patent number: 7497856
Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement for the remote-controlled release of active ingredients which are located with a magnetic body in a cavity and which are released under the influence of heat. A substantially biocompatible device, which avoids unnecessary thermal and electromagnetic loads, is created by producing the heat required for releasing the active ingredients by rotating the body in the fluid.

  • Publication number: 20070248661
Abstract: A capsule is capable of releasing at least one agent that is contained therein by heating at least one heating element under the effect of at least one alternating magnetic field at a defined point in a body, said capsule dissolving when entering in contact with a dissolving liquid. The capsule avoids getting stuck on stenoses while being thermally acceptable and favorable from the point of view of energy. In the capsule, the heating element is at least partially surrounded with a capsule part, material of which is provided with greater thermal resistance than the walls of common capsules used for medicaments.

  • Patent number: 5583690
Abstract: In a Faraday microscope for examining specimens with stray magnetic fields in a reflected light beam path with a magnetic indicator film arranged in front of the specimen, the influence of the specimen on the indicator film is evaluated with the indicator film arranged as the termination of the microscope objective, the indicator film advantageously being arranged on an optically transparent substrate. The indicator film and substrate are taken into account in the optical calculation of the microscope objective.
