  • Patent number: 11969755
Abstract: Described herein are a method for transferring an embossed structure, which includes at least the steps (1-i) and (2-i) or (1-ii) and (2-ii), where steps (1-i) and (2-i) or (1-ii) and (2-ii) are carried out using an embossing tool (P1) including at least one embossing die (p1), where the embossing die (p1) of the embossing tool (P1) is pretreated, before the implementation of step (2-i) or before the implementation of step (1-ii), with at least one organic solvent and/or at least one reactive diluent, and also a method of using a corresponding pretreated embossing tool (P1) including at least one embossing die (p1) for the purpose of transferring an embossed structure in such a way.

  • Patent number: 6617851
Abstract: A probe head for an NMR spectrometer that provides enhanced signal to noise ratio in NMR measurements. The probe head uses at least a first waveguide to irradiate an NMR sample with an excitation wave and to conduct the emitted sample signal to the preamplifier and subsequent electronic signal processing equipment. The electrical conducting elements of the waveguide are constructed and operated under conditions such that the conductors operate in the regime defined by the anomalous skin effect and preferably in the regime defined by the extreme anomalous skin effect. The reduction in electrical resistance afforded by such construction and operation enables a reduction signal-to-noise ratio in the NMR signal detected by the probe. The invention includes in the preliminary detection circuit means for temporarily matching it with its characteristic impedance.

  • Patent number: 4110680
Abstract: A method of measuring the quantity of a flowing fluid through the use of nuclear magnetic spin resonance which includes; passing a fluid containing magnetizable nuclei and having portions of different flow velocities through a pipe of non-magnetic electrically insulating material; applying a direct-current magnetic field to the fluid to align the nuclei spin axes thereof; applying an alternating-current magnetic field to the fluid to synchronize the nuclei; and measuring the resultant nuclear magnetization and the velocity of respective different portions of the fluid with respect to time, the sum of the products of velocity and nuclear magnetization of the portions providing a measure of the quantity of the fluid.
