    Abstract: A method for waterproofing a substrate having a substantially vertical surface using an adhesive element and a waterproof membrane. The adhesive element includes a pressure sensitive adhesive layer coated and a release liner covering one of the primary exterior surfaces of the adhesive layer. In the method, the adhesive element is applied to the surface of the substrate followed by adhering the waterproof membrane to the substrate via the pressure sensitive adhesive layer.
