  • Patent number: 11916300
Abstract: An array antenna includes a plurality of mechanically separate radiating panels arranged side-by-side, means for applying a shaping to the signals transmitted by the radiating elements of the panels and a device for managing the shaping of the signals, wherein the shaping coefficients correspond to a sum of at least: a shaping coefficient (Wco) making it possible to orient the maximum gain of the antenna in a given direction, and at least the opposite of a shaping coefficient (Wc) making it possible to orient the maximum gain of the antenna in the direction of a side lobe resulting from differences between the radiating panels of the array antenna. The method relates also to the associated transmission/reception method.

  • Publication number: 20220252711
Abstract: A three-dimensional object detection system includes a transmission device configured so as to transmit signals using a colored transmission method in a first plane, a reception device comprising at least two sensors arranged in a second plane perpendicular to the first plane, and processing means for processing the transmitted and received signals, wherein the reception device is raised with respect to the transmission device, and wherein the processing means are configured so as to detect the presence of objects: in the first plane based on the signals received from at least one of the sensors using the color of the transmitted signal, in the second plane based on the signals received from at least two of the sensors. The method for determining the presence of objects and for estimating their associated direction and distance is also provided.

  • Patent number: 8654007
Abstract: The present invention relates to the general field of radar tracking applied to multi-static radar systems. It consists of a method for coherently merging the individual tracks generated from the various bistatic bases that make up the system so as to generate and maintain global tracks so that an object detected by a single bistatic base is represented by the corresponding track and an object detected by a number of bistatic bases and giving rise to the creation of a number of individual tracks is represented only by a single global track.

Date of Patent: February 18, 2014

  • Patent number: 7859463
Abstract: The invention relates to the field of electromagnetic detection systems operating in bistatic mode, in particular to UHF/VHF bistatic radars. The method according to the invention consists in the simultaneous use of signals transmitted by one or more transmitting sources on separate frequency channels. The method includes a step of multichannel reception and separating channels. Additionally, the method includes a step of analysis of the signals received channel by channel, wherein the analysis is performed by correlation of the signals received with copies of the time and frequency shifted reference signals. The reference signals are constituted by the signals received from transmitting sources by direct transmission with a step of integration of the signals analysed, channel by channel, and a step of detection.
