  • Patent number: 11658571
Abstract: Techniques are described that can solve the problem of being low power while running a device on battery and alternatively running on the output of a switching regulator. In a low power mode, a voltage regulator circuit can be powered down and a switch can connect an input voltage of the regulator, e.g., a battery, to the CPU. In addition, internal and/or external loads, such as voltage feedback resistors, can be disconnected in order to further reduce the power consumption. If the device is going into operation, the CPU can be disconnected from the input voltage of the regulator, e.g., the battery, and switched to the output of the regulator. This can ensure that the circuit consumes very little power consumption in standby mode.

  • Patent number: 9482556
Abstract: A measuring system for registering the absolute rotation angle of a rotating, measured object, wherein a first gear is associated with a shaft of the measured object, wherein the first gear directly or indirectly engages at least a second gear and a third gear and wherein tooth counts the individual gears differ from one another. There is associated with each gear a rotation angle sensor, which registers the rotation angle of the associated gear. A calculating unit is provided, which ascertains at least the difference between the rotation angle of the second gear and that of the first gear and the difference between the rotation angle of the third gear and that of the first gear and, based on a summing of the differences of the ascertained rotation angle of the gears, determines the number of whole numbered revolutions and the remainder rotation angle of the shaft of the measured object.

  • Patent number: 7175711
Abstract: A coating device (10) for coating a metal strip (12) in a metal melt (14) includes a shaft (16,18) that is rotatable in the metal melt (14) for guiding the metal strip (12), and a slide bearing (261, 262) for supporting the shaft (16,18). The slide bearing (261, 262) is formed by a bearing housing (32) and a bearing bushing (34) that has several pairs (361–364) of bearing surfaces and is configured so as to be circumferentially closed. The bearing bushing (34) is adapted to be set in selected rotational positions in circumferential direction in the bearing housing (32). A releasable bearing bushing fixing element (40) locks the bushing in each of the selected rotational positions with respect to the bearing housing (32). Thereby, a worn pair (361–364) of bearing surfaces can be simply replaced by a non-worn pair (361–364) of bearing surfaces by a rotation of the bearing bushing.
