  • Patent number: 9533695
Abstract: A transporting and loading system for rail-supported conveyances using transport vehicles outfitted with a standardized loading platform for ISO containers, particularly for machinery for inspecting and maintaining track installations, is provided. Transporting and loading rail-supported conveyances allowing rail-supported conveyances to be safely transported to places of use at any distance apart without special-purpose vehicles and to be deposited on and picked up from a track installation without external lifting gear is described. The transporting and loading system has a sandwich construction comprising two floor assemblies which conform to ISO container dimensions, an intermediate space between the floor assemblies for drive units, transmission units and control units for the automated movement of the loading and offloading unit, and rails are provided for holding and guiding the rail-supported conveyances on the sandwich construction.

  • Patent number: 9050924
Abstract: A truck with a multi-axle chassis for transporting, depositing and picking up an article, in particular, a working machine used particularly at selected track installations is disclosed. The chassis has in the rear region a loading platform which is rotatable relative to the chassis and has a swivelable telescopic boom. A loading surface located on the same level as the loading platform is arranged in front of the loading platform on the chassis and is outfitted with a loading system for transporting the article from the loading platform to the loading surface, and vice versa. The loading platform has the telescopic boom and a gear ring engaged with a drive motor for vertical rotation of the loading platform for enabling the telescopic boom to deposit and pick up the article in an area surrounding the truck.

  • Patent number: 8514387
Abstract: An arrangement for marking and measuring sections of railroad track, which allows track sections which are susceptible to wear to be determined reliably and accurately. A sensor unit is provided for detecting measuring points, and has at least two independent detector units measuring in a non-contacting manner, based on a first optical sensor having spectrally selective sensitivity and a second identification detector. The measuring points, as angle elements, are detachably fastened to the rail and are provided at a horizontally oriented leg with a coating emitting in a narrow spectral band and with an identification value carrier for the identification detector. The sensor unit is so arranged at a device which can travel on tracks that the independent detector units are guided parallel to the rail in the same direction over the measuring points with the movement of the device which can travel on tracks.

  • Patent number: 6638138
Abstract: An arrangement of grinding modules in a track grinder wherein a radial mismatch in narrow track bend radii can be considered in an exact manner without occurrence of constraining forces, enabling reprofiling to be reproduced in a simple manner. The arrangement provides a grinding tool with five degrees of freedom. Each grinding module is accommodated in an at least approximately vertical manner with a frame and in an at least horizontally manner on the frame with a holder. A housing in the holder is pivotably arranged around a shaft that is at least approximately parallel to the track to be ground. The grinding tool in the housing can be adjusted in a rectangular manner in relation to the track to be ground.
