Abstract: A device for a circular knitting machine for blowing away fluff or the like is provided, having a plurality of blower openings each arranged to move to and fro on a circular path section, and a source of compressed air connected to the blower openings. The device further comprises a holder (23) mounted to rotate to and fro, with a plurality of tubes (28) extending substantially radially and leading to the blower openings, and a distribution device (34) connectible to the source of compressed air. By means of the distribution device (34) the tubes (28) can be connected to the source of compressed air in a predetermined sequence individually or in groups. Also a circular knitting machine have such a device is provided (FIG. 1).

Abstract: The invention relates to a carrier (1) of annular, cylindrical, plate or disc form or the like in a circular knitting machine for mounting needles, sinkers, cam parts or the like. The carrier (1) comprises at least one flow channel, which serves for the transport of a gaseous or fluid medium intended for heat exchange and/or lubrication. This flow channel consists of a recess (9) formed in the carrier, adjoining a surface of the same, and a cover (10) covering the recess, sealed to the carrier (1) and comprises at least one connection (11, 12) for the feed and/or removal of the medium (FIG. 1).

Abstract: A setting device for needle selection devices of a multisystem circular knitting machine includes a portable displacement unit connectable to individual needle selecting apparatuses of the systems of the machine and a separate programmable electric control unit connected to the setting unit by a cable. The displacement unit has a setting member displaceable against selecting blades of a needle selecting apparatus and being activated according to a program by a solenoid. The displacement unit is provided with a display and control buttons for entering and displaying a code number of a system to be set. The control pulses for the solenoid and for the movement of the setting member are delivered according to a program by the separate electric control unit.

Abstract: A restoring device for a needle selecting apparatus of a circular knitting machine has a housing mounted on the needle selecting apparatus, and a slider located in the housing for each set of selecting plates of the selecting apparatus. Each slider is displaceable in a direction of displacement of the selecting plates and is provided with a pressing surface and a withdrawal surface. The pressing and withdrawal surfaces of each slider act on all selecting plates of a respective set to displace the selecting plates to their operating and rest positions, respectively.
