  • Patent number: 6985117
Abstract: A system for wireless data transmission between a stationary transmitting/reception device and a rotating body, e.g., a vehicle wheel, having secondary antennas, is provided. A plurality of stationary primary antennas are coupled to the stationary transmitting/reception device, and a plurality of secondary antennas are positioned along a circumference of the rotating body. Amongst the plurality of primary antennas, at least one primary antenna is provided for transmitting electrical energy to the secondary antennas, and at least one other primary antenna is provided for communications with the secondary antennas. In this manner, data transmission independent of the speed of the rotating body and the position of the secondary antennas is achieved.

  • Patent number: 6590460
Abstract: A harmonically damped oscillator circuit including a controllable oscillator amplifier for generating an oscillator output signal and including an amplitude control circuit for controlling the amplitude A of the oscillator output signal, an amplitude control signal Vcontrol being generated by the amplitude control circuit as a function of a determined amplitude A of the oscillator output signal in such a manner that the oscillator amplifier functions in a predefined operating range having an approximately linear amplification characteristic with a definable, small amplitude at a preset operating point, and the oscillator amplifier being designed in such a manner that the predefined operating range and the preset operating point are independent of the amplitude control signal Vcontrol. Thus, a stable amplitude loop for producing a low-distortion oscillator output signal can be achieved also under consideration of a comparatively large scatter range of the used component characteristics and parameters.

  • Patent number: 5773967
Abstract: According to the invention, a voltage reference, i.e. a process for tuning a voltage reference, is proposed with self-monitoring and self-calibration. Use is made preferably of a band-gap reference source. The voltage reference is provided preferably with semiconductor switches with which the temperature coefficient is adjusted in a test cycle by parallel switching of resistances which alters the gain factor. Self-monitoring can be carried at any time and as often as desired, as can self-calibration. Control of the switch for the self-monitoring and self-calibration of the voltage reference is done using a matrix controlled by a microcomputer with an appropriate control program.

  • Patent number: 5654708
Abstract: A method for the compensation of component tolerances of a number of similar components, in particular capacitors in analog-to-digital converters which are connected to a common line, and whose electric value is in each case halved from component to component, the component with the smallest value being present twice. In this method, a first potential is at first applied to at least one of the components and a second potential is applied to the remaining components with lower values. A comparator then checks whether on the common line the mid-potential between the two potentials is present. There is then applied to a correction component (which is in addition connected to the common line) a variable correction voltage which is adjusted until the comparator determines the mid-potential on the common line. The determined correction voltage is finally stored as a correction value.
