  • Patent number: 8748149
Abstract: The invention relates to the use of one or more pectinolytic enzyme(s) for the treatment of fruit or vegetable mash as well as a process for enzymatic treatment of fruit or vegetable mash comprising the step of adding one or more pectinolytic enzyme(s), wherein at least one pectinolytic enzyme is obtainable from Trichoderma reesei, as well as to a process for the preparation of a fruit or vegetable juice comprising the process for enzymatic treatment of fruit or vegetable mash. Moreover, the invention discloses recombinant DNA molecules encoding a polypeptide having endo-polygalacturonase activity, a polypeptide having exo-polygalacturonase activity, a polypeptide having exo-rhamnogalacturonase activity and a polypeptide having xylogalacturonase activity.

  • Patent number: 5693867
Abstract: Tetraphenylborates are obtained in an industrially advantageous grade by spray drying an organic, aqueous or organic-aqueous extract of the tetraphenylborates obtainable in the tetraphenylborates synthesis. It is advantageous to treat the specified extract prior to spray drying with pH-controlling auxiliaries and adsorbents to remove byproducts or to limit their formation. The process gives tetraphenylborates in a homogeneous technical grade, i.e. in a narrow particle size distribution and in a particular particle shape, which improves the dispersibility in the medium to be used.

  • Patent number: 5500323
Abstract: Cyclic polysulfonyldiallylammonium salts which are obtainable bya) copolymerization of salts, preferably halides, of monomeric diallylammonium components of the formula (I) ##STR1## with sulfur dioxide or a compound which liberates sulfur dioxide, and b) anion exchange, the anions, preferably the halide ions, of the diallylammonium components being completely or partially replaced by the anions A, the diallylammonium components being in each case cyclized to give a five- or six-membered ring and being connected to one another by one or more divalent radicals --SO.sub.2 -- to form polymers, the polysulfonyldiallylammonium salts having a molecular weight of between 500 and 5,000,000,and the ratio of the number of diallylammonium components to the number of divalent SO.sub.2 radicals being from 1:0.
