  • Patent number: 9657253
Abstract: The present invention relates to a tricresyl phosphate-free oil which can be used as lubricant or hydraulic oil. The oil is distinguished by extremely low human toxicity. In particular, the oil is suitable as turbine oil, i.e. as lubricant oil in aircraft turbines, with which, in the case of a fume event, symptoms of the aerotoxic syndrome in aircraft passengers can be prevented. In addition, the present invention relates to the corresponding use of the turbine oil according to the invention for the prophylaxis of the aerotoxic syndrome in the case of a fume event. In addition, the invention describes a turbine which contains a corresponding turbine oil as lubricant. Furthermore, the method for operating a turbine is indicated.

  • Publication number: 20050192453
Abstract: The invention relates to a device and a method for disabling electronic devices in order to reliably prevent third parties from gaining unauthorized knowledge of data in the event of loss of the storage medium. The device comprises a gas generator, with a pyrotechnic propelling charge, disposed in the area of the storage medium. At least one fuel or at least one oxidator of the propelling charge releases, when the latter is triggered, well conducting metals, especially precious or semi-precious metals which are deposited on the electronic parts of the electronic device. According to the inventive method, the igniter can be triggered manually, by sensors or remote-controlled. The invention further relates to an electronic data processing system and a telephone comprising such a device.

  • Publication number: 20050145647
Abstract: The invention relates to a self-defence module comprising a housing containing a chamber that holds a free-flowing active medium and comprising a compressed gas source for spontaneously dispensing the active medium from the chamber. In order to be able to miniaturise the self-defence module, the compressed gas source is configured from a pyrotechnic gas generator and an ignition unit that interacts with the generator. According to the application, the ignition unit can be triggered manually or by a sensor. The invention also relates to the use of a self-defence module of this type for the protection of persons, buildings, means of transport or valuables.

  • Patent number: 6706106
Abstract: The invention concerns a composition for the production of shaped bodies, consisting of polymer lignin, shellac and natural fibers and also a method for the production of shaped bodies from such a composition via production of a shaped body through extrusion.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20040012114
Abstract: For producing a granulated intermediate product which consists of a fine-particle thermoplastic or thermoelastic polymer and substantially inert fillers for further processing into plastic shaped bodies through thermoplastic processing methods it is proposed to mix the polymer in the form of powder or particles with the fillers and compact the powder mixture without plastification of the polymer exclusively under mechanical pressure into pourable agglomerates with larger grain size. Such an agglomerate can be processed into shaped bodies in the same manner as a conventional plastic granulated material, wherein thermal damage to the fillers and the molecular structure of the polymer is reliably prevented during production of the intermediate product and extremely high fill fractions can be achieved.

  • Patent number: 6509397
Abstract: A plastic material made from a polymer blend, is characterized in that said material contains at least one lignin-based natural polymer, in particular based on alkali lignin produced during the extraction of cellulose, and at least one other synthetic and/or natural polymer which increases the impact resistance, proteins excluded. The inventive plastic material has excellent characteristics. It is biodegradable due to the natural polymer content and has, to a considerable extent, an ecologically neutral CO2 balance. The polymer blend can be used advantageously in place of wood or wood materials.
