  • Patent number: 8358423
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for the contactless measurement of an offset of the functional components of a travel path of a magnetic levitation railway driven by a linear motor with the help of at least one optical triangulation system (10) that can be moved along the travel path. Said method is characterized in that at least two triangulation sensors (12, 14) per measuring instrument for the functional components are moved along the travel path at a determined speed and alternately operate as a measurement sensor and as a reference sensor, i.e. using a radiation source in the ultraviolet, visible, or infrared spectral range, said triangulation sensors (12, 14) being fixedly mounted on a movable support (16) and being geometrically offset.

  • Patent number: 6110863
Abstract: An absorption mat 1 is described which is suitable for receiving organic hydrocarbons in liquid, paste-like or solid form, for example, oil, fats, fuels and solvents. The absorption mat is characterized by a plate-like and/or block-like molded body 2 made of rubber granulate 3 or rubber shavings 3 brought into a bond with each other to define a shape with the mat being received in a trough 6 or the like open at one side thereof and made of a material or at least containing a layer 7 resistant to the hydrocarbons and seated in a trough 6 open at one end.

  • Patent number: 5972470

The absorption mat includes a plate-like molded body 2 made of rubber granulate 3 or rubber shavings 3 bonded to each other to define a plate-like body. A base layer 6 resistant to the hydrocarbons is joined by vulcanization to the plate-like molded body 2. The base layer 6 is a composite base barrier layer including first and second layers (10, 12) made of hydrocarbon resistant material and a mesh-like support layer 14 is sandwiched and trapped between the first and second layers (10, 12) for preventing unwanted stretching of the mat during manufacture and when handling before placement on the ground or floor area and when in use.

  • Patent number: 5487501
Abstract: A shock absorber component 7 is in the form of a flatly placeable strip, plate or mat and is especially for supporting the track of railroads. The shock absorber component 7 is placed between the superstructure 2 and the roadbed 1 of the track assembly. The shock absorber component 7 includes a core layer 8 having bonded rubber particles 12 and a cover layer 10 made of flexible material. The cover layer 10 surrounds this core layer 8. The rubber particles 12 of the core layer 8 are exclusively porous and the cover layer 10 is made of a compact rubber material. The cover layer 10 is vulcanized to the core layer 8.

  • Patent number: 5161675
Abstract: A tubular belt conveyor system includes a conveyor belt having a cross-sectionally closed, curvilinear, tubular configuration including a zone of overlapping edge portions. A plurality of support and guide assemblies for the conveyor are situated along the conveyor path. Each assembly includes a plurality of support and guide rollers held about the cross-sectionally closed conveyor belt in a contacting relationship therewith. In each assembly one roller is in engagement with the cross-sectionally closed conveyor belt at the edge overlap. The closed tubular configuration in each length portion of the conveying path has an oval cross section. The support and guide rollers force the conveyor belt into the closed tubular configuration of oval cross section. The first support and guide roller of each assembly is settable onto the zone of overlapping edge portions.

  • Patent number: 4809845
Abstract: A hose belt conveyor system that is provided with support rollers that are divided into garlands of rollers. That roller which rolls along the belt to the side of the belt edge of the overlapping portion of the belt, is provided with an extension, the end of which is preferably rounded off. This extension brings about a considerable reduction of the wear of this belt edge.

  • Patent number: 4732264
Abstract: A belt conveyer system where along various sections great differences in height must be overcome. A conveyer belt that is initially spread flat is guided in steeply inclined stretches to form a closed hose. To satisfactorily transport, without loss, even difficult-to-handle, fine-particled material, the transition from a steep section into a horizontal section, or even to a discharge station, the steadily opening cross-sectional area is a critical process. To avoid the danger of disruption, a cover belt is provided that extends over the transition zone. The lower run of this cover belt extends into the opening hose cross-section of the conveyer belt, rests directly upon the transported material, and is supported on both sides on the edges of the conveyer belt.

  • Patent number: 4723653
Abstract: A hose belt conveyer system is proposed in which the material that is to be conveyed is transported by a conveyer belt that can be closed to form a hose belt. The support rollers are arranged in the form of roller garlands, which results in a flexible adaptation to the belt volume, as well as advantages during assembly and repair and maintenance of the system. The significant positioning of the roller garlands and their rollers effects a low-wear and energy-saving operation of the system.
