Abstract: A process for removing inorganic and/or oxidizable nitrogen compounds from industrial effluent. The nitrogen compounds in the effluent can be simultaneously recovered for use in production processes. The method for eliminates inorganic nitrogen compounds from wastewater, by neutralizing wastewater with a neutralizer to a pH of approximately 7 to obtain a neutralized solution. The neutralizer is a sodium hydroxide solution or ammonia. Next the neutralized solution is evaporated. The inorganic nitrate compounds present in the inorganic nitrogen compounds are eliminated from the wastewater in the form of the corresponding neutralized nitrate.

Abstract: A chuck system for machine tools with a rotating jaw chuck has clamping jaws of the jaw chuck which can be radially adjusted relative to an axis of rotation. The clamping jaws are displaceably mounted in a bearer connected with a drive shaft, and in which engagement openings for the introduction of an adjustment tool for the positioning of the clamping jaws are arranged in the region of the bearer. The bearer is surrounded by a protective sheath that is guided so as to be displaceable in the direction of the axis of rotation. The protective sheath comprises through openings, which are arranged so as to be congruent to the engagement openings in a handling position of the protective sheath, and are arranged so as to be offset to the engagement openings in an operating position of the protective sheath. In the operating position, the clamping jaws are radially surrounded, at least in regions, by the protective sheath.

Abstract: A method of stopping out interfering radiators in a device for optically viewing the radiation produced by a missile through a lens aperture and for steering the missile as a result of the radiation viewed, comprising setting the opening of the lens aperture in a wide opening position during the launch of the missile and viewing the radiation through the opening set, determining the off position of the missile relative to the optical axis of the device by means of a modulator disc disposed in the image plane of the device and a radiation detector which is disposed behind the image plane on which the image of the entrance pupil of the device is formed and, after the off position is determined, reducing the image field of the lens of the device to an image area immediately surrounding the missile.
