Abstract: An apparatus and a method for intermittently processing a material. For this purpose, the apparatus has a tool with a sealing surface and a counter-tool with a counter-sealing surface, wherein the material is guided through a gap formed between the sealing surface and the counter-sealing surface in a feed direction during operation of the apparatus. In order to enable intermittent processing of the material, according to the invention the tool and/or the counter-tool is rotatable or pivotable about an axis such that a processing section of the sealing surface or of the counter-sealing surface can be arranged temporarily opposite the material, such that the material, when the processing section is arranged opposite the material, can be processed with the tool and, when the processing section is not arranged opposite the material, the material cannot be processed with the tool.

Abstract: A rotor rotating device connected to an oil supply system for turning the rotor of a rotary machine, which rotor is fitted with a gear wheel, the device including: a hydraulic motor; a hub mounted to be rotated by the motor; a pinion mounted on the hub and dimensioned to mesh with the gear wheel; a screw shift drive operatively associated with the pinion for permitting movement of the pinion in the direction of the axis of rotation of the hub between a first position in which the pinion is disengaged from the gear wheel and a second position in which the pinion meshes with the gear wheel; a compression spring disposed to urge the pinion toward the first position; and a piston connected to the pinion and arranged to be actuated by oil under pressure from the oil supply system for moving the pinion into the second position.

Abstract: An apparatus for the weighing of mass produced articles, especially highly-tempered glass products shortly after their formation, which are transferred with the interposing of a balancing device, by means of a weighing conveyor belt from a delivery conveyor belt on to a removal conveyor belt which runs at an angle to the delivery conveyor belt. The apparatus aids quality control by monitoring article weight. It operates dependably even in dirty, turbulent, high temperature environments.
