  • Patent number: 5944534
Abstract: A steering column module electrically connected to the electrical system of a vehicle with the fewest number of connector parts is attached to the outer tube of a steering column of the motor vehicle. The module includes a carrier and functional units attached to the carrier. The carrier is attached to the outer tube of the steering column. Plug-in connector parts are provided on the lower sides of the functional units. A plate-shaped distributing device having upper and lower sides is also included. The distributing device encompasses the steering column and is aligned perpendicular thereto. The distributing device includes mating connector parts on its upper side and a plug-in connector arrangement on its lower side. Each mating connector part is coupled to a respective one of the plug-in connector parts.

  • Patent number: 5939686
Abstract: An electrical rotary push switch includes a housing having a longitudinal axis and an actuating element mounted around the housing. The actuating element is rotatable around and longitudinally movable about the housing to define switching positions. A functional element is mounted around the housing and is coupled to the actuating element to rotate as the actuating element rotates. The functional element remains fixed in position as the actuating element longitudinally moves. A first electrical contact part is slidably held to the housing to be longitudinally movable along the housing longitudinal axis. The first contact part is coupled to the functional element such that the first contact part longitudinally moves as the actuating element rotates and remains fixed in position as the actuating element longitudinally moves. A second electrical contact part is slidably held to the housing to be longitudinally movable along the housing longitudinal axis.

  • Patent number: 5297790
Abstract: The driver (12) comprises a carrier (14) for attachment to a conveyor, for example an endless chain. A pusher (16) made of hard-wearing material is attached to the carrier (14) in such a way that when the support moves forwards the pusher engages a rear edge of a sheet (10) to be fed. The pusher (16) is supported through at least one elastic spacer (18) on the carrier (14), in a rearwardly resilient manner. In a preferred embodiment of the driver (12), the pusher (16) comprises a flexible metal sleeve (30) which near each of its two ends rests, by way of a respective spacer (18) in the form of an electrically insulating washer, on a shaft (20) attached to the carrier (16). This makes high rates of acceleration possible when feeding thin metal sheets on a can welding machine, without the sheets being damaged by the driver (12).

  • Patent number: 4507926
Abstract: A rotor rotating device connected to an oil supply system for turning the rotor of a rotary machine, which rotor is fitted with a gear wheel, the device including: a hydraulic motor; a hub mounted to be rotated by the motor; a pinion mounted on the hub and dimensioned to mesh with the gear wheel; a screw shift drive operatively associated with the pinion for permitting movement of the pinion in the direction of the axis of rotation of the hub between a first position in which the pinion is disengaged from the gear wheel and a second position in which the pinion meshes with the gear wheel; a compression spring disposed to urge the pinion toward the first position; and a piston connected to the pinion and arranged to be actuated by oil under pressure from the oil supply system for moving the pinion into the second position.

  • Patent number: 4122940
Abstract: An apparatus for the weighing of mass produced articles, especially highly-tempered glass products shortly after their formation, which are transferred with the interposing of a balancing device, by means of a weighing conveyor belt from a delivery conveyor belt on to a removal conveyor belt which runs at an angle to the delivery conveyor belt. The apparatus aids quality control by monitoring article weight. It operates dependably even in dirty, turbulent, high temperature environments.
