  • Patent number: 4628967
Abstract: A cloth draw-off roll is operatively connected via a regulation circuit with a main shaft of the weaving machine. The regulation circuit contains a controllable motor which is drivingly connected with the cloth draw-off roll. A regulation circuit arrangement connected forwardly of the controllable motor controls the weft thread density in the drawn-off cloth as a function of at least the rotational angular position of the main shaft of the weaving machine and contains a modulator operatively connected with the controllable motor. The modulator transforms control commands of a programming stage pre-programmable via an input device, into control signals for the controllable motor. A pulse transmitter at the main shaft transmits pulses indicative of the rotational angular position of the main shaft to the programming stage. A control circuit arrangement of the weaving machine transmits information signals or data indicative of the momentary functional state of the weaving machine to the programming stage.

  • Patent number: 4594952
Abstract: A relatively great number of embroidering locations with the appropriate embroidering implements are arranged in at least one row. The embroidering implements are capable of being coupled to and uncoupled from the embroidering implement drive of the embroidering machine according to a predetermined repetition and color-change program by electromagnetic actuation devices. Therefore, according to the invention, a so-called group-switching of the embroidering locations, respectively of their electromagnets, is performed such that groups of a few embroidering locations, respectively their electromagnetic actuation devices, form switching groups or units. The electromagnetic actuation devices of each switching unit are connected in parallel at their input sides. An input conductor common to the switching unit connects them to the embroidering location control device.

  • Patent number: 4593236
Abstract: A regulation device for the rotary drive of a warp beam of a weaving machine for producing as uniform as possible a tension force on an unwinding material or group of warp threads conducted to a weaving device and then to a fabric take-up device. A tachometer is associated with a power regulator arranged ahead of the motor of the rotary drive as a momentary value transducer and comprises a generator for generating a signal corresponding to the tension force or tensile stress in the material or warp threads as well as a further generator for generating a signal corresponding to the take-up speed of the fabric being woven from the unwinding material or threads. These two signals are connected to a multiplier stage whose output signal is conducted to the power regulator of the rotary drive as a reference value.

  • Patent number: 4580511
Abstract: A relatively great number of embroidering locations with the appropriate embroidering implements are arranged in at least one row. The embroidering implements are capable of being coupled to and uncoupled from the embroidering implement drive of the embroidering machine according to a predetermined repetition and color-change program by electromagnetic actuation devices. The pattern and machine-function control of the embroidering machine is performed via a data carrier whose reading and evaluation unit controls a pattern and machine-function control device. Data for the repetition and color-change program are also placed on this data carrier for pattern and machine-function control. Suitable further data are also placed on this data carrier for actuating a switch associated with the reading and evaluation unit for transmitting the repetition and color-change program to an embroidering location control device connected to the electromagnetic actuation devices of the embroidering implements.

  • Patent number: 4438791
Abstract: A weft thread-selection apparatus for a weaving machine or loom comprises a carrier or support element which oscillates or pivots in cycle with the weft thread-insertion frequency. The oscillatable support element carries at its free end a number of electromagnetic devices, for instance electromagnets corresponding to the number of thread infeed rods and is rotatably supported at its other end for pivotal movement about a shaft. This shaft simultaneously constitutes the pivot point for oscillatable or pivotal arm members, each of which is retained under the action of spring means in its preparatory position. Each of the oscillatable or pivotal arm members is hingedly connected at its free end with one of the thread infeed rods and each oscillatable arm member carries a magnet armature intended to cooperate in a coupling fashion with one of the electromagnets. The row of electromagnets extends below the oscillatable or pivotal arm members.

  • Patent number: 4372346
Abstract: An electrical warp thread-monitoring apparatus for a loom wherein a multiplicity of warp threads each carry a drop wire which, in the presence of thread rupture, connects a pair of current rails which are mutually electrically insulated from one another, and thus, closes an alternating-current circuit. The alternating-current circuit possesses at its input side an alternating-current voltage source which can be connected by means of a bridge rectifier with the current rails. This bridge rectifier or rectifier circuit forms the input of a voltage-dependent pulse converter following which there is connected in circuit a RC-integration stage and a threshold value-switching stage, which also then produce a shutdown or stop signal when the contact locations are contaminated and prevent generation of a shutdown or stop signal when contaminants, leakage currents and dancing drop wires produce short pulses.
