  • Patent number: 6196483
Abstract: The subject matter of the invention is a straw-cutting machine which is disposed behind the grain separating devices of a combine harvester and whose separating devices cut up the stalks falling down from the straw walkers into short pieces. In this process, due to an innovative, special disposition of the generally conventional deflector which, under the straw walkers, deflects the stalks from falling down from these to the cutter tray at the inlet into the cutter, receiving the stalks by the cutting drum is made more secure and, on the other hand, due to an innovative, special design of the distribution hood following the cutter, ejection and distribution of the chopped up stalks over the field soil is essentially improved over existing designs.

  • Patent number: 5928080
Abstract: The object of the invention is a straw-cutting machine which is positioned behind the grain separation devices of a combine harvester and whose separation organs chop the stalks falling from the straw walkers into short pieces. The aim of the invention is by means of a special design of the separation organs to reduce the required driving power, to chop and disintegrate stalks falling onto the straw-cutting machine in a lateral position or a longitudinal direction uniformly into the smallest possible pieces and subsequently to disperse the chopped stalks as uniformly as possible over the whole cutting width on the soil. This is achieved by positioning in uniform distribution fixed tang plates serrated on their front sides on the mantle of a chopping cylinder which tang plates separate laterally positioned stalks in a drawing cut in a uniform, relatively thin veil over cutting knives fixed rigidly, but equipped with springs on the chopping floor.

  • Patent number: 4704195
Abstract: In regenerative coking ovens having vertical heating flues cooperating in pairs, high level and low level combustion stages and means arranged at the bottoms of respective heating flues to recirculate the flue gas, the following measures insure a substantially reduced generation of NO.sub.x contents in the flue gas: the recirculation current rate is between 20% and 50%, the combustion stage ratio is between 40% and 70% and the second combustion stage is arranged between 35% and 55% of the height of the heating flue.

  • Patent number: 4456505
Abstract: In a coking oven with a horizontal chamber the chamber is provided with a filling hole having a cylindrical portion with the diameter D and a reduced portion downwardly extending therefrom into the chamber over the height H. The ratio between D and H.ltoreq.1.5.

  • Patent number: 4438571
Abstract: An arrangement for dry cooling of coke has a prechamber for a coke to be cooled with a prechamber wall, a cooler with a cooler wall, a plurality of connecting members connecting these walls with each other, so that a cooling gaseous medium can pass between the connecting members, and a plurality of throttling elements arranged between the connecting members and actuated from outside of the walls.

  • Patent number: 4370203
Abstract: A cooling device for dry cooling of coke by a counterflow of gaseous cooling medium has a prechamber, a housing including upper and lower parts, a conduit for discharging a gaseous cooling medium, wherein the prechamber form with the housing an annular space of an increased cross-section in the region of the discharge conduit, the prechamber is connected with the housing by a plurality of mounting members distributed over the periphery of the prechamber, and two sliding joints are provided of which one sliding joint slidingly connects the upper wall with the lower wall, and the other sliding joint slidingly connects the prechamber with the upper wall.

  • Patent number: 4342626
Abstract: A cooling device for coke dry cooling, has a housing composed of upper and lower parts connected with one another by a slide joint, and a ring-shaped insert located inside the upper part of the housing and constituted of a metallic heat-resistant material, coated by a wear-resistant and heat-resistant coating layer. The insert is conical and mounted by its upper end portion on the upper part of the housing.

  • Patent number: 4008722
Abstract: A harvesting machine having a plurality of vertically reciprocal shaking elements is provided at the top of each of these elements with a distributing plate that extends the full length of the shaking elements and is pivotal about an axis on this shaking element. Each of these distributing plates is oscillated about its respective axis so as to loosen up and order the straw lying on the shaking elements and at the same time to separate grain from them. The plates have sawtoothed upper edges and may be oscillated at a rate equal to three times the vertical reciprocation rate of the shaking elements.
