  • Patent number: 11186056
Abstract: A mechanical press, with at least one drive shaft having a driver that is eccentric with respect to a shaft axis, and a sliding block. The sliding block is driven by the driver to perform a forcibly guided movement. During an execution of a pressure stroke, the sliding block is guided on at least one sliding surface on the pressure-input side opposite to a pressure-input-side surface of a slide guide. The sliding block has a sliding surface on the pressure-output side lying opposite to the pressure-input side surface, this surface being guided on a pressure-output-side surface of the slide guide, wherein the sliding surface on the pressure-input side of the sliding block has a concave or convex curvature. The sliding surface on the pressure-output side of the sliding block has the opposite concave or convex curvature, respectively.

  • Patent number: 11084240
Abstract: A path-controlled press, with at least one drive shaft having a driver that is eccentric relative to a shaft axis, and a sliding block, wherein the sliding block is driven by the driver to perform a forcibly actuated movement During the execution of a pressure stroke, the sliding block is guided on at least one sliding surface on the pressure side in relation to a pressure-side surface of a slide guide. The sliding block has a sliding surface on the pulling side opposite the sliding surface on the pressure side, which is guided on a surface of the slide guide on the pulling side. The sliding surface on the pressure side of the sliding block has a concave or convex curvature. The sliding surface on the pulling side of the sliding block has another respective concave or convex curvature.

  • Patent number: 5218855
Abstract: In a manipulator (1) for forging machines, for example multiple-ram forging machines with a plurality of rams acting radially on the forging (2), the workpiece (2) is moved axially according to the forging sequence and the feed drive of the manipulator (1) takes place at a constant speed, an actively controllable, axially effective superposed drive acting intermittently on the gripper axle (5) of the manipulator (1) and at least one hydraulically working piston/cylinder unit (12) being provided for supporting the axially displaceable gripper axle (5) in relation to the manipulator housing (4). To design the control of the manipulator (1) in a mechanically constructive way so that it functions simply and reliably, the front and rear stroke spaces (18, 19) of the piston/cylinder unit (12) are connectable by a line (28) by means of a valve (26), and the piston/cylinder unit (12) is designed as a servo-control device (17), by means of which the piston/cylinder unit (12) can be controlled.

  • Patent number: 5000028
Abstract: A workpiece manipulator assembly for a forging press having a press ram comprises a workpiece rotating mechanism including a rotary drive system for rotating a workpiece in peripheral direction. The rotary drive system is operated by a drive motor running at a preselected constant speed to rotate the workpiece about an axis of rotation. An arresting assembly stops the rotary movement of the workpiece before and during a pressure contact phase for the press ram. The rotary drive system is adapted to rotate a driven worm which produces rotary movement to the workpiece rotating means and is mounted for axial displacement. The arresting assembly includes an axial drive unit for predeterminably controlling axial displacement of the driven worm to effect the arresting of said rotary movement.
