  • Patent number: 4989722
Abstract: An endless belt is driven between two yarn processing machines. A plurality of package carrier members are mounted at spaced intervals to the endless belt by pivot connections which permit the carrier members to travel in freely pivotal hang disposition. The carrier members support packages thereon to transport the packages from one machine to the other. A contact member adjacent the machine receiving the supported packages contacts the carrier members to release the supported packages therefrom as the carrier members travel thereby.

  • Patent number: 4940192
Abstract: A transport means for transporting packages at a winding machine to a plurality of stations for unwinding the packages is provided. The transport means includes a plurality of generally horizontally disposed, partially overlapping, package-supporting plates arranged in a sequential series and means for moving each plate about a generally vertical axis. The surface of each plate moves through an advancing path and transversely of the winding machine through an unwinding station. The packages are individually supported on the package supporting plates for circulation through the unwinding station.

  • Patent number: 4909451
Abstract: A method and apparatus for producing an end winding on a bobbin on which yarn has been wound. The bobbin is wound in an unwinding direction while the trailing yarn end is engaged and a length of yarn is unwound from the bobbin by suction. The yarn is released from the suction once a length of yarn has been unwound from the bobbin, the released unwound yarn falls onto a yarn support member to be supported at a location at substantially the level of the upper end of the bobbin. The bobbin is then further rotated in the unwinding direction to wind the unwound yarn length into an end winding on the upper end of the bobbin. The yarn support member includes a pair of oppositely sloping transverse surfaces spaced lengthwise of the yarn from one another to define a receiving slot therebetween and a yarn guiding eye is disposed beneath and in communication with the receiving slot for supporting the unwound yarn length during winding of the end winding.

  • Patent number: 4095033
Abstract: Cycloolefins of 8 or 12 carbon atoms and with one or more non-conjugated double bonds in the ring can be polymerized, optionally in the presence of a solvent, with the aid of a catalyst of tungsten hexachloride and cis,trans-1,5-cyclodecadiene as the cocatalyst.

  • Patent number: 3974231
Abstract: A process for the production of cyclopentene free of C.sub.5 -diene impurities, which comprises metathetically reacting cis-cis-cyclodecadiene-(1,6) with a catalytic amount of a metathesis catalyst at a reaction temperature of from 0.degree.C up to the temperature at which said catalyst decomposes for a period of time sufficient to form said cyclopentene.
