  • Patent number: 9415824
Abstract: At least one slide block is installed on the saddle pole for optimal guiding, as far as possible free of play, of a saddle pole in a cladding tube, at the lower end of the saddle pole. The slide block(s) engage in a groove-shaped recess in the cladding tube, said groove-shaped recess of the cladding tube having at least one length, which corresponds to the requested adjustment stroke of the saddle pole. At least one contact surface of the saddle pole, on which a planar slide block is installed, is planar and the side of the planar slide block, which is installed on the saddle pole with the planar contact surface, also has a planar surface.

  • Publication number: 20130156492
Abstract: The invention relates to a height adjustable saddle pole consisting of two tubes which are telescopically slidable into another, that is to say a cladding tube for accommodating a saddle support tube, whereas the saddle support tube is spring-loaded and is fixed in position via a locking pin. The bores into which the locking pin engages, are located in the region of the smallest stress of the saddle support tube in order to weaken the static of the saddle support tube as little as possible.

  • Publication number: 20050200074
Abstract: The invention proposes to turn rectangular mail items of differing thicknesses and sizes and containing different page ratios through 90°. To achieve this, the mail items are conveyed away in at least one direction at right angles to the feeding direction by eccentric rollers. In order to pick up the mailing items without damaging the latter, the eccentric rollers are configured from an elastic material and include segments arranged in a non-radial manner.

  • Patent number: 6303800
Abstract: Process for preparing propene oxide, in which a mixture of propene and oxygen or an oxygen-containing gas is reacted at a temperature in the range from 150 to 500° C., in the presence or absence of a catalyst, in a reactor, wherein all or part of the interior of the reactor is lined with inert materials. The inert material used is at least one of the materials of the following group: one or more noble metals of transition group VIII of the Periodic Table, in particular gold, titanium and tantalum, glass, enamel, quartz, ceramic and Teflon. The selectivity to propene oxide is >60%.

  • Patent number: 6082521
Abstract: For processing sorted goods, in particular for processing mail pieces in postal facilities, an apparatus is proposed for transposing address-bearing sorted goods into an ordered sequence according to a predetermined order of possible addresses, starting with two supplied partial sequences in which the sorted goods are already ordered according to the predetermined order of possible addresses. The apparatus includes a number of actuable transfer devices equal to the number of partial sequences for sequentially transferring the sorted goods of a respective one of the partial sequences to a selection unit. The selection unit is actuable for selectively receiving sorted goods from all transfer devices and for conveying the received sorted goods to a delivery point common to all sorted goods. For this purpose, the selection unit is actuated by a controller for recording the addresses of the sorted goods to be transferred.

  • Patent number: 6059091
Abstract: An apparatus and and a method for merging streams of presorted pieces provided with addresses into a row of pieces in accordance with a predetermined sequence of possible addresses, starting from at least two presorted rows in which the pieces are sorted in accordance with the predetermined sequence. The apparatus includes receiving elements which are transported successively along a conveying path, and transfer devices arranged at transfer points along the conveying path, wherein the number of transfer devices is equal to the number of presorted rows. The receiving elements are conveyed past the transfer devices in a timed sequence determined by the transport along the conveying path. The transfer devices can be actuated selectively for transferring a sorted piece each from the respective presorted row into one of the receiving elements as the receiving element travels past the transfer device.

  • Patent number: 5992609
Abstract: An apparatus for sorting individual pieces includes a plurality of conveying elements which are guided along a closed track and are coupled to each other to form an endless conveying chain. The conveying elements have an at least approximately horizontal support plane configured to place the individual items thereon. For feeding the conveying elements, they travel along the track past at least one feeding station and they travel past several target stations for emptying the conveying elements. Each target station is provided with a sweeping or deflecting device which travels alongside of the conveying elements and pushes the individual piece from the conveying elements.

  • Patent number: 5994657
Abstract: A device and method for sorting flat mailed pieces. The mailed pieces are individually transferred to conveying cells which can be conveyed one behind the other along a conveying path and are delivered to receptacles which are arranged along the conveying path. The mailed pieces are transferred by a transfer device to the conveying cells. The main planes of the mailed pieces (14) are oriented essentially vertically. The receptacles for the mailed pieces conveyed by the conveying cells are determined on the basis of a preset sequence of all possible mailing addresses, the mailing addresses of all mailed piece transferred to the conveying cells, and the association data representing the association between the individual mailed pieces and the conveying cells.

A device including a slanted guide wall defining a conveying channel is located above the conveying apparatus for conveying the products in a conveying direction into a respective one of the hoppers located below the conveying channel. The device includes a size intake opening communicating with the conveying channel for receiving products into the conveying channel from a side of the device in a direction at a right angle to the conveying direction. The device further includes a rotating clearing mechanism laterally penetrating the conveying channel and operating jointly with the guide wall for conveying the products into the hoppers.

  • Patent number: 5857555
Abstract: A tiltable bowl of a carriage of a sorting line is secured on two supports which are arranged axisymmetrically with respect to one another. The supports are pivotably seated on an axle. On each support, a resilient yoke is formed on one side with its first end. The oppositely disposed second end of the yoke can be displaced within defined limits relative to the supports. Each yoke has a latch cam which, in the horizontal, initial position of the bowl, locks into place behind a projection fixedly connected to the frame and thus locks the bowl in this initial position. When a pusher rod articulated at the second end is pushed upward, the lock is released first and then the bowl is tilted.

  • Patent number: 5819909
Abstract: An apparatus for receiving and transporting flat articles respectively supplied by an overhead loader includes a conveying device comprising a first traction mechanism and transport containers attached to the first traction mechanism. The transport containers have intake openings facing in a direction of the overhead loader for receiving the flat articles from above the conveying device. A guide arrangement is disposed above the conveying device and includes an endlessly rotating second traction mechanism and a plurality of guide elements attached to the second traction mechanism. The guide elements move in the same direction as the conveying direction of the transport containers and approximately parallel to the intake openings of the transport containers. The guide elements are interspersed in the trajectory of the flat articles from the loader into the transport containers.

  • Patent number: 4956849
Abstract: For use in the graphiting of carbon bodies, a graphiting furnace is proposed, which contains inert gas and in which carbon bodies forced together to form a train are fed in feeding steps. The train is axially gripped to set up therein an axial compressive stress which is sufficient to render the train self-supporting. That axial compressive stress is also maintained while a graphited carbon body is removed from the train and a carbon body to be graphited is added to the train between consecutive feeding steps.
