Abstract: Described are antenna assemblies and methods for forming antenna assemblies. An antenna assembly includes a dual polarized far-field antenna and a near-field loop antenna. The near-field loop antenna is electromagnetically coupled to the dual polarized far-field antenna. The near-field loop antenna includes two contacts for electrically connecting to a chip.

Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for storage and dispensing of bank notes, preferably having a device connected in series to verify genuineness of bank notes inserted. To provide the apparatus which is characterized by a simple and therefore economical performance construction with the required security of pay-out, a compartment module having components lying next to each other, separated from each other by partitions and opened at their end sides is provided which is guided moveably by a controlled drive. To store the bank notes, a slider travelable to and fro by a controlled drive is guided in the housing in the transverse middle plane of the bank note supplied in each case, this slider pushing the bank notes while folding them in the middle in a loop-like manner into a compartment of the compartment module traveling into the middle plane.

Abstract: In an apparatus for turning over individual sheets assembled to form a stack, preferably for leafing through program tiles of a jukebox, the sheets are arranged to pivot about mutually parallel pivot pins and are provided with projections rising above the pivot pins on which a support engages so that a sheet is turned over to the opposite side. A space-saving design, in which unintentional turning-over of the pages is effectively prevented, is provided in that at least one fixing device and stop device are provided, the fixing device being in contact with the open sheets so that in the turning-over movement of an open sheet it is moved against a force acting on the fixing apparatus, and the stop device being arranged so that the sheets adjoining the open sheets are in contact with the stop device so that their pivoting in the turning-over direction is prevented at least until the projections of the adjacent sheets are in a position of engagement with the support.

Abstract: A leafable program table for use in a music box includes a frame having opposed end and side peripheral strips and a plurality of intersecting strips forming a row of rectangular fields and a row of approximately square fields. The square fields are larger than the rectangular fields. Title pages of content booklets for compact discs may be held in the square fields, and lists of song titles may be held in the rectangular fields. Each rectangular field also includes a recessed field into which a numbered label corresponding to a compact disc may be adhered.

Abstract: A transport device (10) conveys a disc holder (7) with a disc (1) between a disc magazine (4) and another disc magazine (4), between a disc magazine (4) and a running gear (5), or between a disc magazine (4) and a disc loading and issuing slide (11). Two horizontally movable extractor devices (9) on the transport device (10) travel simultaneously in opposite directions crossing each other between a ready position and a transport position. In the ready position, the extractor devices (9) are ready to engage a disc holder (7) from a disc magazine (4). In the transport position, the extractor devices (9) have traveled to their end positions on the transport device (10) and are ready to engage the disc holder (7) to transport the disc holder (7) to another disc magazine (4).

Abstract: A disc player has two opposite disc magazines with a plurality of disc holders which each receive a disc and are arranged one above the other in compartments. A transport arrangement movable in the direction of the stack of discs in the magazine conveys a desired disc with its associated disc holder between the compartment and a playback unit. The transport arrangement has a horizontally movable pulling-out arrangement provided with a carriage with a pick-up arm. In order to simplify the construction, the pick-up arm, which is rigidly linked to the carriage of the delivery arrangement, may be horizontally moved between and vertically moved within the disc magazines.

Abstract: A combination includes a plurality of disc assemblies, each having: a disc; a cassette having a window and a sliding element adapted to open and close the window, the disc being disposed in the cassette so as to be accessible by a playback unit of a disc player through the window. The combination further includes a disc player having: a playback unit; a disk magazine including a plurality of disc compartments disposed to form a stack, each of the compartments being adapted to receive a corresponding one of the disc assemblies therein; a transport device travelling toward and away from the stack for transferring a pre-selected disc assembly between a corresponding receiving compartment and the playback unit; and a plurality of cassette holders, each holding a corresponding one of the disc assemblies therein and further being adapted to be gripped by the transport device for being transferred between a receiving compartment and the playback unit.

Abstract: A money operated gaming machine has a box-like housing and a door pivoted on one side wall and able to be locked to such housing, such door bearing on an outer side thereof game areas and a design characterizing the game. In the housing there is arranged a coin unit which consists at least of a coin inlet, a coin testing mechanism, coin distributing and guiding mechanism coin stack tubes and a coin paying out mechanism. At the side wall of the housing, located on the opening side of the door, rails are attached for a carriage holding a frame, which is provided with holding mechanisms for the individual modules constituted by the components of the coin unit. To facilitate simpler and clear installation and maintenance of the coin unit, at the inner side of the back wall of the frame a printed circuit board with U-shaped and knife-like limbs constituting contacts is held, which on insertion into the frame of a module provided with contact springs come into conducting contact with the contact springs.

The bowling alley further includes a pin setup frame provided at one end of the bowling lane for handling a plurality of bowling pins. The pin setup frame includes a pin magazine for retaining a number of the pins therebelow. A pin support plate is located below the pin magazine. A device is provided for vertically moving the pin support plate in and out of an initial position and toward and away from the pin magazine to receive the pins from the pin magazine. A device is provided for tilting the pin support plate during the vertical movement into an intermediate tilting position to clear any pins therefrom. A sorting device is located beneath the pin support plate for separating and arranging the pins received therein into an aligned position. A pin conveyor is provided for transporting, in a predetermined position, the pins from the sorting device to the pin magazine.

A record playback unit is located adjacent the record magazine and a travelling transport device conveys a desired record with the record holder back and forth between a selected storage compartment and the playback unit. A lifting and lowering device is disposed above the playback unit and includes a vertically extending guide rod and a holding mechanism seated to glide on the guide rod. A bracket is fixed to the holding mechanism and includes a record hold-down element for receiving a record holder with a record. A motor-driven eccentric control is coupled to the holding mechanism for lowering and lifting the holding mechanism together with the bracket along the guide rod.

Abstract: A disc player has a playback unit that includes a turntable having a driveshaft. At least one disc storage magazine having a plurality of storage compartments and a plurality of superposed disc holders stored therein is provided. Each disc holder accommodates one disc. Also provided is a transporting device movable in a direction towards the disc storage magazine for moving a desired disc and respective disc holder back and forth between the storage compartment and the playback unit. The transporting device includes a horizontally displaceable extraction device for extracting the respective disc holder. The transporting device also has a disc hold-down member for pressing the desired disc to be played onto the turntable. Further, the transporting device includes a movable carrying arm for accommodating the respective disc holder. The movable carrying arm has an upper face including a cover for gripping over the respective disc holder and disc therein.

An input channel (2) of variable width is in front of the testing channel (20). The input channel (2) includes two channel halves (21), one on either side of the longitudinal center axis (22) of the input channel (2). The two channel halves (21) can be adjusted synchronously against the force of a spring. In their contact position, the channel halves (21) determine the minimum width of the channel, and in their separated end position they determine the maximum width. A bank note (3) of any type is introduced into the input channel (2) at its locked maximum channel width as far as a passage detector (19) arranged in a starting region of the testing channel (20).

Abstract: A display device, particularly for the display of music titles in a jukebox includes a frame housing, two juxtaposed stacks of information carriers arranged vertically one behind the other, with a front information carrier of a first one of the stacks of information carriers and a rear information carrier of a second one of the stacks of information carriers being simultaneously displaceable by a displacing mechanism relative to one another toward the respective other stack of information carriers. In order to displace the respective front and rear information carriers, the two stacks of information carriers are movable by the displacing mechanism relative to one another in synchronized steps and offset by the thickness of an information carrier. The direction of movement of the movable and displaceable information carriers is reversible by a reversing mechanism. The information carriers of each stack of information carriers are supported at edges thereof in the threads of threaded spindles.

Abstract: A darts target for a game of darts has mobile segments marked with different scores and provided with holes for receiving the darts and is articulated inside a front door of a housing. When a dart strikes the segments, which are prevented from moving forward by retaining devices, the segments actuate a switch matrix which is arranged on a supporting disk and which automatically registers, totals and displays the scores by means of a switching system. The front door is articulated to the housing on one of its vertical longitudinal sides by a hinge. The supporting disk with the switch matrix is fastened to the rear face of the front door so that it can be folded back.

A transporting device (4) moves a selected disc (5) with its holder (6) to and fro between a storage compartment (10) and a playback unit (7). The transporting device (4) has two independently controllable extraction devices (12) for the disc holders (6), and these extraction devices (12) may travel horizontally on the transporting device (4). Either the two extraction devices (12) are ready to extract a holder (6) for a disc (5) from the appropriate record storage magazine (3), or one extraction device (12) has been taken to a central position in which it secures a disc (5) with its holder (6) taken from the appropriate record storage magazine (3) in alignment with the turntable (8) of the playback unit (7) while the other extraction device (12) remains in readiness for the other record storage magazine (3).

Abstract: A catch device to prevent a rapid rotation of the shaft of a roll-up door or the like has a toothed brake wheel received in an asymmetric clamping ring in a housing. A pawl on the clamping ring engages in a toothed recess of the brake ring at excessive speeds of the wheel to entrain the clamping ring and wedge the latter against the housing.
