    Abstract: A hydraulic axial piston machine is provided which has a swash plate mounted on a yoke which pivots about the axis of a pair of trunnions. The back surface of the yoke is curved and is supported on the surface of a flat, rigid rotary plate which is displaced linearly as the yoke is pivoted. The rotary plate is supported on a pair of roller bearings which are mounted on a resilient damping plate.
