Abstract: A device and a method for recording digital images which represent objects, in particular, motor vehicles, from various angles of observation is disclosed. According to the system described herein, a method for recording images with a qualitatively high resolution image of objects from various angles of observation may be rapidly achieved with generation of minimal data by means of carrying out the following steps: arranging the object on a turntable, continuously rotating the turntable, generating electronic trigger signals on rotating the turntable in given angular positions of the turntable, transmitting the trigger signals to a controller of a digital camera and recording an image with the digital camera on receipt of a trigger signal.
