    Abstract: A spinning pack with a sand filter for the melt spinning of thermoplastics, whereby at least one perforated plate with evenly distributed D-shaped holes with slanting openings that taper conically in the direction of flow is placed in the direction of flow in front of and/or behind the sand filter. Spinning packs according to the invention surprisingly give highly uniform distribution and flow of thermoplastic melt through the sand filter.
