    Abstract: The invention relates to a connecting unit which is used to quickly connect various types of components or to quickly fix components to other components and which can be detached in an easy and quick manner with simple means even when there is a large amount of dirt or corrosion and which can provide a reliable, permanent connection. The inventive connecting unit comprises a journal provided with at least two stops with a joint area arranged between the stops and a counter element interacting with the stops of the journal. The counter element has a recess for the joint area of the journal and a wedge-shaped outer contour which is formed by outer surfaces of the counter elements oriented perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the journal when the journal and counter element are joined together in an appropriate manner.
