  • Patent number: 11337890
Abstract: A container for a packaging assembly can include a body having a base and a sidewall extending therefrom. The body can define an interior including a product space configured for housing at least one product, and can have an opening leading to the interior. The container can include an active agent located within a compartment that is provided within the interior. The compartment can be sealed by a sealing layer to encapsulate the active agent within the compartment so as to prevent fluid communication between the active agent and the product space.

  • Patent number: 9725219
Abstract: A bottle, especially a pharmaceutical bottle, configured to facilitate the withdrawal of goods present in the bottle in the form of pieces, the bottle being closed by a lid that consists of at least two layers: a cover layer and an outer layer. The cover layer, which may be a multilayer structure, is firmly sealed to the peripheral, circular sealing edge of the pharmaceutical bottle along said sealing edge, and includes a separation line off-set from the center of the circle. The outer layer, which may also be a multilayer structure, is connected to the cover layer across the entire surface thereof in such a way that one layer can be peeled off. The separation line of the cover layer has a concave section in the portion thereof that is next to the sealing edge, so as to form a flap section when the outer layer is peeled off.

  • Patent number: 9649676
Abstract: Method for producing an aluminum foil with integrated security features. An aluminum foil is rolled down to a thickness of less than 150 ?m in a plurality of cold rolling passes, texturing that runs in the direction of rolling being induced simultaneously on both surface sides of the foil. In a final cold rolling pass, the foil is fed to a working roller pair, in which, on at least one roller surface, the relief-like surface structuring generated in the rolling direction by grinding was reduced on the basis of contrast and motif in a region of 10 to 50% relative to the average surface roughness to form a motif for a security feature that is transferred to the surface side of the foil facing the roller surface. The generated aluminum foil has a glossy appearance on both sides such that the security feature rises clearly due to its dull appearance.

  • Patent number: 8991608
Abstract: A lid for a pharmaceutical bottle that is configured to facilitate the withdrawal of goods present in the pharmaceutical bottle in the form of pieces, the lid including at least an inner layer and an outer layer. The inner layer, which may be a multilayer structure, is firmly sealed with and along the peripheral, circular edge of the pharmaceutical bottle and has a peripheral weakened line off-set from the center of the circle, where the peripheral weakened line of the opening has a concave section in the portion thereof that is next to the sealing edge. The outer layer, which may be a multilayer structure, is connected to the inner layer and can be peeled off such that the portion of the inner layer lying inside the peripheral weakened line remains on the outer layer, thereby forming an opening in the inner layer.

Abstract: Method for producing an aluminum foil with integrated security features. An aluminum foil is rolled to a thickness of less than 150 ?m in multiple cold rolling passes, and simultaneously a texture which runs in the rolling direction is produced on both faces of the foil. A loose composite formed from at least two of the aluminum foils, is fed into a pair of working rollers in a final cold rolling pass, wherein the relief-like surface structure which is produced in the rolling direction via a polishing process has been reduced by 10 to 50% with respect to the average roughness height in one region in a contrast- and motif-dependent manner on at least one roller surface in order to form a motif for a security feature. The security feature is transferred onto the aluminum foil face facing the roller surface, and the loose composite of aluminum foils is separated.

  • Patent number: 7429063
Abstract: A counterfeit-proof metal foil is textured in at least a given partial area of its surface, this partial area having a radiation refraction value which is different compared to the remaining surface area. The metal foil is suitable as a packaging material, among others for medications. The manufacturer or the consumer can check based on the given surface structure which is intended as an identification sign whether he has acquired an uncounterfeited product. If texturing takes place on most of the surface of the metal foil, this is identical to the appearance of a printed picture so that the metal foil as claimed in the invention is likewise used as a decorative foil or an advertizing medium.

  • Publication number: 20040013827
Abstract: A thermally-sealable multilayer film, for packages which may be resealed after opening, includes an outer layer and a support layer, with a thermally-sealable layer on the side facing the packaged material. A self-adhesive layer made from pressure sensitive adhesive is provided between the support layer and the outer layer. The support layer has weakening lines, which define an opening for the removal of packaged material. For resealing a container, by using the thermally-sealable multilayer film, the user may simply open the defined opening for removal of the contents of the container, by application of an opening force and then reseal the container, by pressing the opened outer layer on to the self-adhesive layer. The above process may be repeated several times, until all the contents of the container are used, whereby the above are protected from possible contamination.

  • Patent number: 6200663
Abstract: The present invention pertains to a packaging element comprising a supporting material fitted, on its face turned opposite the package, with a layer presenting a marking area and, on its face turned to the package, with a rough surface coating. The coating roughness has a depth of 1 to 100 &mgr;m, which can be obtained by using granulous filling material. The rough surface packaging element is suited as a covering element, including for yoghurt, as well as in the production of labels for bottle finishes.
