  • Patent number: 5842632
Abstract: The packaging sleeve has at a first end (4) thereof an extended (11) back wall (1) and extended (31) side walls (3) connected thereto. The sleeve is closed at the first end (4) by a lid (21) connected to the front wall (2) and provided with a closing flap (23) which extends into the sleeve and is kept enclosed by side flaps (33), which extend from the side walls (3) and which are overlapped by the closing flap (23). The extended (11, 31) walls (1, 3) prevent the closing flap (23) from being opened, unless the sleeve may be damaged or destructed.

  • Patent number: 5702002
Abstract: The packaging carton of the packed electric lamp has an incision line through diagonally opposed edges in respective side walls adjoining these edges. Boundary lines extend in each of the two side walls from said incision line to a point P of the edge, which point lies closer to the first end, so as to define together with the incision line a region of said walls which is flipped over as a folded portion into the carton, thus narrowing the carton. The lamp may be readily machine packed into the carton, starting from the back of the carton, and displays essential distinguishing marks of its bulb while the packaging remains closed.

  • Patent number: 5394985
Abstract: The electric lamp (4) is packed in an elongate container (1) having an M-shaped elongate insert (2) which comprises a V-shaped seat (21) for the lamp. A removable cover (3) is present over a central portion (25) of the seat (21). A spacer (5) keeps the cover positioned over the seat and separated from a first wall (10) of the container (1), which is opposite to the seat (21). The lamp can easily be packed in and be unpacked from the container. The packaging functions to protect the lamp and is suited to be used for lamps of a variety of shapes.

  • Patent number: 5358170
Abstract: The packing sleeve (10) of the packed electric lamp (1) has substantially flat walls (13-16) which are interconnected about edges (17, 17'). In a first end portion (11 ) of the sleeve, from an edge (17) incisions are present in adjacent walls (13, 14) to form a band (20) which is folded about creases (21) into the sleeve in order to form a pocket for the lamp cap (3). In the packed electric lamp, the band (20) clamps around the lamp cap (3) to keep the lamp fixed in the sleeve. The sleeve is a simple, reliable, cost-effective packing for an electric lamp.

  • Patent number: 5344019
Abstract: The tray and the blank from sheet material comprise a rectangular base portion (1) having first (2, 4) and second (3, 5) opposing edges. First walls (12, 14) extend along and remote from the first edges and comprise opposing openings (112, 114) for accommodating a respective end portion of a body. Buffering bands (22, 24; 32, 34) are present at the first walls adjacent (22, 24) as well as remote (32, 34) from the base portion (1). Second walls (13, 15) are present along the second edges (3, 5), each connected to the remote buffering bands (32, 34). The base portion (1) is connected to one second wall (13) and coupled to the other second wall (15). The tray can be formed from the blank without auxiliary means. The tray and bodies, e.g. fluorescent lamps, accommodated therein can be handled without additional support.

  • Patent number: 5330052
Abstract: The packed electric lamps have a box (1) provided with a base (2) having a base wall (7) and side walls (3, 4, 5, 6) connected thereto. First seats (31) and corresponding second seats (41) are present in the base (2) at a first side wall (3) and a second (4) side wall, in which seats cushion-shaped cartons (50) with electric lamps (20) are held. The packed electric lamps have a comparatively small volume, but the packaging also protects comparatively vulnerable lamps against damage.
