  • Patent number: 9393581
Abstract: A method for controlling a temperature of a jetting device, the jetting device being configured to jet droplets of a fluid at a high temperature, the fluid comprising an electrically conductive fluid, wherein at least a part of the fluid is positioned in a magnetic field, includes heating the jetting device to an operating temperature, being defined as the temperature suitable for jetting droplets, using a heat jetting droplets by providing an electrical actuation current in the part of the fluid positioned in the magnetic field, thereby generating a force in the conductive fluid; determining upcoming jetting conditions, the upcoming jetting conditions being defined as the jetting conditions corresponding to droplets to be jetted at a time (t1) which is later than the present time (t0); determining settings for the heat based on the determined upcoming jetting conditions; controlling the heating of the jetting device using the heat in accordance with the determined settings.

  • Patent number: 8444028
Abstract: In a jetting device for ejecting droplets of a relatively hot fluid, a fluid chamber body is made of a heat resistant material and an inner surface of the fluid chamber body, the inner surface defining a fluid chamber of the jetting device, is wettable by the fluid. This configuration provides that no additional force needs to be applied for forcing the fluid into an orifice, i.e. a narrow tube leading towards a nozzle.

  • Patent number: 5990470
Abstract: An apparatus for optically scanning a document to generate digital image data corresponding to local optical densities of the document including a fixed glass plate, one side of which defines an original image plane, a transporting mechanism for transporting the document in a sub-scanning direction in the original image plane, at least two linear sensors situated in a main scanning direction, each having an array of opto-electric converters and each provided with a lens which images on the sensor a linear observation area, situated in the original plane, wherein the observation areas of the sensors are substantially in line and partially overlapping at the ends in the main scanning direction.

  • Patent number: 5475788
Abstract: A radiation fixing device for fixing a powder image on a sheet with the aid of heat-radiating lamellae which extend on both sides of a horizontal sheet conveyor path, the heat-radiating lamellae being situated in a housing having slot-shaped openings through which a sheet is fed into and led out of the housing. Air flow openings are provided in the base of the housing for automatically activating an air flow through the housing by means of natural convection, in areas adjacent to a sheet moving through the housing.
