    Abstract: A process for impregnating and sealing porous articles wherein the excess impregnant can easily be removed from the surface of the article by washing with water without the use of organic solvents or surfactants either in the aqueous wash solution or the impregnating solution wherein the sealant comprises mixtures of selected acrylate or methacrylate monomers and hydroxy-terminated acrylates or methacrylates.
