    Abstract: A picket or panel railing and method of fabrication of the railing from a kit of parts includes U-shaped channels having inserts fixed in the channels, with holes pre-formed in the insert for insertion of pickets. Vertical pickets interconnect the upper channel and a lower channel and opposite ends of the pickets fit through the holes formed in the inserts.
