Abstract: A system and method for filtering sediment from water prior to disposal. According to some aspects, water is provided to a trough which feeds a settling pool via a port. The settling pool may comprise one or more blocks disposed in one or more corresponding channels which restricts flow of the water. In some embodiments, this restriction of flow may cause sediment to collect on a bottom of the settling pool and/or residual oil to collect on a surface of the water. The residual oil may be pumped or skimmed from the surface and the water may be pumped from the settling pool into one or more external holding tanks. The one or more blocks may then be removed from the settling pool and the sediment may be collected via a frontloader or other device accessing the sediment via an access ramp formed in the settling pool.

The locator unit can be attached to or installed within the APU or any other form of auxiliary provided power. Furthermore, the locator unit can have multiple sensor inputs that can read and store sensor data, including location information and emissions output. Then, the locator unit can transmit that information to a remote monitoring station or can use that information to calculate emission reduction data information for conversion to one or more emission reduction credits.

Abstract: The invention provides a fuel additive composition including from about 85 to about 99% by volume C1-C4 alcohol having a first blending octane number and from about 1.0 to about 15% by volume ether compound selected from the group consisting of dialkoxyalkanes, alkoxyalcohols, trialkoxyalkanes, dialkoxycycloalkanes and aryl alkyl diethers having a second blending octane number and a boiling point in the gasoline boiling range. The resulting composition has a third blending octane number which is substantially greater than a linear addition of the first and second blending octane numbers of the components of the mixture. In the composition, the second blending octane number is substantially lower than the first blending octane number. The fuel additive composition significantly increases the octane number of a gasoline fuel without detrimentally affecting the environment.
