  • Patent number: 6119810
Abstract: A scaffold has a rigid main frame with cross members secured to each other to prevent all pivoting and angular movement of the members relative to each other and end frames pivotally mounted on the main frame with sleeves for movements between folded positions adjacent opposite sides of the main frame and open positions generally normal to the main frame. Releasable locks retain the end frames in the open positions. Supports for a person and objects extend between and are mounted on the end frames when the end frames are in the open positions.

  • Patent number: 5300973
Abstract: A slide track, pin registration system for registering photosensitive media to light exposure equipment. The system includes one or more slide tracks and each of which contain media registration pins. The slide tracks are orthogonally mounted within grooves let into a resilient media support mat. Each pin is restrained in a spring biased retainer which retainer is loosely confined in a support base that slide mounts to the track. The number of pins and profile shapes are variable to match the media and registration requirements. In one vacuum system, the tracks are supported in a multi-chambered, foam backed bladder. In another the tracks are supported on a single chambered bladder. In still another system, the retainer slides within grooves formed in a rigid board.

  • Patent number: 5279215
Abstract: A machine for crushing oil filters and collecting the oil therefrom. The machine has a piston and cylinder assembly for moving a crushing member into a crushing chamber to crush an oil filter. A control valve controls the supply of hydraulic fluid to the piston and cylinder assembly. Air under pressure is also supplied to the piston and cylinder assembly to move the crushing member back to its initial position. A lock is mounted on the actuator of the control valve for holding a door providing access to the crushing chamber in the closed position. When the actuator is moved to a position to allow fluid to flow to the cylinder the door is locked in the closed position. A second lock structure maintains the door in the closed position during the time that the crushing member is performing the crushing operation. The crushing member must be moved to its initial position to release the second lock structure before the door can be opened.

  • Patent number: 5255052
Abstract: An imaging support assembly for precise and repeatable alignment and registration of plural, planar workpieces having a plurality of projecting registration pin assemblies. The workpieces contain holes where projecting pins of the registration pin assemblies are received. At least one of the registration pin assemblies contains a projecting pin of a non-circular shape when viewed end-on. A flanged barrel of the assembly is rigidly mounted to a planar support board. The projecting pin is spring biased within a sleeve that mounts in the barrel. The pin projects through a barrel aperture and is non-rotatively movable in the plane of the board within limits defined by the barrel aperture.

  • Patent number: 5228375
Abstract: A register punch has a plurality of punch assemblies for making holes and notches in a sheet member. Adjustable stops located adjacent the punch assemblies cooperate with an edge of the sheet member to locate the sheet member relative to the punch assemblies. The stops have rotatable members with stop faces which provide a plurality of spaced stops for the sheet member.

  • Patent number: 4977683
Abstract: A board for precise and repeatable alignment and registration of plural workpieces includes a planar board member (10) with a plurality of registration pins (28,30,32) mounted thereon. The workpieces have holes in which the registration pins are received. At least one of the pins is mounted so that it can move multidirectionally within the plane of the board to maintain registration of the multiple workpieces.

  • Patent number: 4550988
Abstract: A rear view mirror mounted on the side of a truck is equipped with an air deflector and fluid dispenser for clearing foreign material from the viewing surface of the mirror. The air deflector has a generally flat forwardly directed section joined to a curved middle section. A terminal section joined to the curved section has a lip forming a passage for collecting foreign material and fluids from the air directed toward the viewing surface. The fluid dispenser has an elongated tube provided with a plurality of fluid discharge orifices. The tube is mounted on the lip with a plurality of releasable clips. Fluid under pressure supplied to the tube is directed onto the one side edge of the mirror and carried across the mirror surface with a moving sheet of air to clear mirror surface of foreign materials, such as insects, dust, dirt, mud, snow, ice and rain.

  • Patent number: 4338921
Abstract: A solar liquid heating system having a collector receiving solar energy and heating a liquid. A liquid transfer pump moves the heated liquid to a heat transfer tank which heats water. The collector has a plate assembly mounted on a frame. Heat insulated bottoms, sides, and ends surrounded by the frame form an elongated chamber accommodating the plate assembly. The plate assembly has a plurality of side-by-side longitudinal plates. Adjacent plates have generally C-shaped sections that are located about a longitudinal tube for carrying liquid. Adjacent plates have lip and hook inter-connecting structures that cooperate with each other to clamp the tube between the C-shaped sections of the plates. The opposite ends of the tubes are connected to transverse tubular headers. The headers project through resilient grommets mounted on the sides of the frame. The top sides of the plate assembly are coated with black solar energy absorbing material.

  • Patent number: 4296741
Abstract: A solar energy collector having panel assemblies for absorbing solar energy and transferring heat to moving air. Each panel assembly has a heat insulated housing carrying a plurality of side-by-side solar energy collector units. Each unit has a base plate carrying upwardly directed longitudinal ribs providing solar energy collector surfaces and downwardly directed longitudinal fins providing heat dissipating surfaces. A longitudinal foot along one side of the plate supports the collector unit on insulating material located within the housing. A coating tongue and groove structure supports the opposide side of the plate on the adjacent collector unit. A light transparent sheet member mounted on the housing covers the collector units and forms therewith a dead air chamber. Air is moved through longitudinal passages between adjacent feet with air moving apparatus whereby heat is transferred to the air moving along the fins.
