  • Publication number: 20230192243
Abstract: An offshore transfer system includes an arm construction with a primary measurement system to measure and compensate for relative movement of an element relative to an external reference when the element is supported by the arm tip, as well as a secondary measurement system to measure and compensate for relative movement of the arm tip relative to the element when the element is put down and no longer supported by the arm tip.

  • Patent number: 10793232
Abstract: A system to transfer people and/or cargo during offshore operations includes a base with a stationary part and a moveable part that is rotatable relative to the stationary part about a substantially vertical first axis; a support arm having a first free end and a second free end opposite the first free end of the support arm; a boom having a first free end and a second free end opposite the first free end of the boom; a load support element; a measurement system; an actuator system; and a control system. The support arm at a location in between the first and second free end of the support arm is mounted to the moveable part of the base such that the support arm is rotatable relative to the moveable part about a substantially horizontal second axis.

  • Patent number: 8745801
Abstract: A gangway construction 1 for providing access between a vessel 3 and an offshore object 33 comprises a support frame 2 and a movably guided gangway 10. A guiding assembly comprises an upper and lower rotatable pulley wheel 5, 6. A first cable 8 is connected to the frame or the gangway at a forward and backward connecting position 16, 17 and extends in a longitudinal direction between this forward and backward connecting position. With this the first cable 8 extends from its forward connecting position 16 towards the lower pulley wheel 6, is guided in for example a counter clockwise direction along at least part of the circumference of the lower pulley wheel 6 and in for example a clockwise direction over at least part of the circumference of the upper pulley wheel 5, and from the upper pulley wheel 5 extends towards its backward connecting position 17.

  • Patent number: 6068216
Abstract: A device for treating the exterior of an aircraft, more particularly the wing and tail surfaces of an aircraft, comprising two gantries disposed on either side of a parking guide line on an aircraft parking place. The gantries are placed to be moved towards one another in a direction transversely to said parking guide line, from a position in which the gantries are mutually spread corresponding to the wing span of an aircraft. Said gantries are each provided with an elongate support beam that extends substantially parallel to said parking guide line and is provided with means for dispensing a treatment fluid, which means is formed by at least one spraying tube extending longitudinally of the respective beam, said spraying tube is equipped with longitudinally spaced spraying nozzles that cooperate with independently controllable valves.
