  • Publication number: 20240004470
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a medical instrument (100, 300) comprising an activity measurement system (110, 301, 302) configured for measuring brain activity data (136) from a subject (102), a memory (120) storing machine executable instructions (130) and storing a simulation model (132), wherein the simulation model is configured to generating simulation data (134), wherein the simulation model is configured for modifying the simulation data using a model parameter (140), a virtual reality system (106, 106?, 106?, 106??, 106??) configured for rendering the simulation data; and a computational system (114) for controlling the medical instrument. Execution of the machine executable instructions causes the computational system to set (200) the model parameter to an initial value (142).

  • Publication number: 20240001067
Abstract: The present invention relates to attention bias modification treatment. In order to improve the treatment effect, an ABM system is proposed with a neural brain response monitoring device, such as functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), magnetoencephalography (MEG), and/or electroencephalography (EEG), to provide real-time information regarding neural brain responses in order to personalize and optimize the ABM treatment.

  • Publication number: 20230404475
Abstract: A system and method for analyzing the brain activity of a subject during a transition between brain states. Brain activity data including data representative of a transition between brain states is received from a brain monitoring system and processed to obtain a value for one or more transition parameters. The one or more transition parameters are parameters that characterize the transition between brain states and may be used as a biomarker for identifying mental disorders.

  • Publication number: 20230404452
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus (10) for determining and/or assessing depression severity of a patient. The apparatus comprising: an input unit (20); an image display unit (30); at least one sensor (40); and a processing unit (50). The image display unit is configured to present a plurality of images to a patient and the plurality of images are of different human facial expressions. The at least one sensor is configured to acquire information relating to the patients viewing of the plurality of images. The input unit is configured to provide the processing unit with the information relating to the patients viewing of the plurality of images. The input unit is configured to provide the processing unit with MRI scan image data of the patient. The MRI scan image data of the patient comprises MRI scan image data of at least one part of the patients brain associated with recognition of facial expressions and/or associated with affective disorders.

  • Publication number: 20230375649
Abstract: It is proposed to obtain information about a stress or anxiety level of a subject within a predetermined time period before, during and/or after a capture time of a fMRI scan image. Using this information, embodiments may provide additional/supplementary information that may aid, assist or otherwise improve interpretation of the fMRI scan image.

  • Publication number: 20230181117
Abstract: A system provides quality control in medical imaging Noise sources are evaluated which can adversely affect the image quality. The noise sources which are evaluated comprise at least two of a device noise source, an operator noise source and a subject (the patient being imaged) noise source, all creating sources of noise during the acquisition of the medical image. A quality control indicator is determined and output to the operator based on the evaluated noise sources.

  • Publication number: 20230084602
Abstract: A breathing guidance system is provided for guiding the breathing of a user during a magnetic resonance imaging procedure. A target breathing rate is determined for the user which is in synchronism with the sounds, such as clicking sounds, generated by the MRI scanner. In this way, an improved signal to noise ratio is obtained for the scanned image by controlling the breathing of the user to be regular.
